I’ve thought long & hard about this post, but I feel some things need to be said so that I can start fresh, post Covid, in this industry that I’ve loved for so long.
Events are a lot of work, months of thought, decision & action go into the details to bring a SUCCESSFUL event to life; anyone can throw a party, but only a few become legendary parties, thanks largely to experts, like me.
I’ve spent over quarter of a century refining my art, learning ways to do things faster, better & with more pizzazz, I’ve turned up onsite when my father & brother in law passed away, leaving my family when they needed me. I have been injured onsite & taken those costs on as my own, because I loved the job & have always been the consummate professional.
Moving forward:
I will not accept any work if the job is under paid.
I will not accept discounted rates for work done previously.
I will not accept, nor tolerate being treated with disrespect; same goes for my team.
I am more than capable of doing any event, without any assistance & unless paid fairly to do so, shall not offer uncontracted assistance.
All work must be paid at a mutually agreed, fair value, based on my quote, not your budget or wishes.
All encounters, social, email, phone or f2f or with those with external 3rd parties, will be professional, courteous & respectful.
Contracts will be terminated if any, or all, of these rules are not agreeable & adhered to.
