I plant native trees. I plant them in times of celebration such as when beautiful couples marry here or when people I love marry or have wee ones or the like but I also plant them in times of grief. For every member of my critter kids who gain their wings and leaves Windaboo or my life at least one tree is planted and I always know what to plant and where but today, I’m at a loss…
I lost a very dear, dear friend and mentor yesterday. Someone with the presence and demure you would think she was royalty. A beautiful woman with a truly wicked, cheeky as they come sense of humour and wit that did not match! A truly unique, majestic soul who I will continue to love and adore.
Planting trees and caring for Windaboo and all the critters of Windaboo is the backbone and motivation of why I do anything all I do…
One would think after 8 years in the world of Windaboo and bidding farewell to equine kids, goats chooks and two legged folk of the human variety I would have hardened up, likely planted Windaboo out entirely and I would have the tools in my kit to handle grief. Seems not to be the case. I somehow usually just know what to plant and where…
This time around, I cannot work out where to plant this tree to honour my beloved friend and it’s failing to come to me what tree it should be to honour such an extraordinary soul, friend and influence in my life.
