On a crisp autumn day, we said goodbye to a very special lady.

Her son said to me “You can’t describe my mum - no way you could describe her – she was the best mum”.

Those sentiments were echoed throughout the service.

Gentle, humble, loyal. This man loved his family above all others. There were so many people here today to say goodbye to this much loved man.

He loved and I do mean loved, his job and the company who employed him. As long as he was in a truck he was content.

70 years married.
Separated only by his passing.

They arrived in Australia with a few suitcases and built a life full of love and memories for the family to cherish.

The FD went above and beyond to match flowers that were in the bridal bouquet all those decades ago.

Today I had the most beautiful experience. ♥️♥️

10 years ago I was the lucky celebrant who joined Carly and Andreas in marriage.

Andreas surprised Carly today with a Renewal of Vows ceremony.

She cried, she laughed, she was so happy.

Tim Tams and one painted red finger nail (Andreas), what more could a girl want?
