Sailing operates on most Sundays in the sailing season which commences the 2nd weekend in October and finishes the weekend after Easter. The club takes a short break over Christmas and resumes racing and sailing activities on the third weekend of January. Whether racing around marks in glorious weather or pottering up and down on a sunny day, Saratoga Sailing Club can provide an opportunity to sai

l and enjoy fine camaraderie with like minded people of all ages. After the sailing finishes the club operates after race functions on the deck overlooking Brisbane Water which has views across to Gosford and beyond. The deck view is a fabulous spot to bring relatives and friends. Feel free to drop by and take a look if you are in Saratoga on a Sunday. The Commodore extends a warm invitation to come and visit.

Today’s results are up!

An awesome day in the water with a building nor-easterly with cloudy clearing. With 6 Hartleys, 5 Lasers, 4 A-Cats and 4 Windsurfers, and the moths plus the yachts from Gosford it was a great spectacle heralding a great season to come.

In the Hartleys, Matrix crossed the line first, and Raven was first on handicap.

In the mixed fleet Fineline was first over the line and on handicap.

John was NOT first for the windsurfers - this was Stuart - sorry Stuart!

The A-Cats did not race.

Congrats all!

Beautiful skies and gentle breezes but no formal results for yesterday’s warm up race. It was great to be back on the water and to welcome the moths and a seal who tried their best with its flipper as a sail but couldn’t quite keep up.

Flame unofficially came home first for the mixed fleet with Matrix was the first of the Hartley’s.

We take this opportunity to thank Bill Bollard for his years of service as race setter and Start Boat Captain. Bill recently made a model of a Hartley, which has been finished off and is on display in a new glass cabinet in the Club House.

He will continue to support racing at the club but has handed over the reigns to Ken Davison, who has been Bill’s start boat hand for many seasons.

We thank Bill and welcome Ken into his new role.
