On June 5 we are bringing back our Escape Room: Apocalypse to raise money for the Cancer Council, which is one of the charities Singleton Council supports.
We would like to extend an invitation to businesses, services, organisations, schools, sporting groups, friends or families to grab a team of 6 – 8 at a time and come and have a go.
The room is open from 10:00am – 6:00pm, is only 30mins and all you need to bring is yourselves, a sense of adventure and a gold coin donation.
If you’re keen, please let us know what time you would like and we will lock it in 🧟♂️🧟♂️🧟♂️

We got stuck into the tech today with a new STEM activity - the first of many! Here, we used the 'Makey Makey' circuit board, coupled with some audio looping software, to make a DIY 80s rock machine.

If you've got troubles, stress, fatigue, or are even just feeling a little blue, come along to the Youth Venue to check out some of our after-school activities, or have a chat with one of our friendly staff. Or, if you're weekend was awesome - come tell us about it! Here's what we've got in store for Week 7:
Tuesday 29th August
DUNGEONS & DRAGONS - not one, but TWO amazing fantasy role-play adventures! A great way to immerse yourself in a whole new world on a Tuesday arvo. All equipment provided, no prior experience necessary.
SINGING - 4pm. Time for a song! Our facilitator Hayley will be teaching everything from pitch, taking care of your vocal chords through to performing and recording a song at the end of term.
ARTALISTIC - 3:30-5pm. Get your art on! Our expert arts teacher Debbie Becker will guide you through a creative landscape of wonderment. $15 per person.
Also on offer - we've got WALL MURALS that need painting, and WOODWORK activities to get involved in. Just ask!
Wednesday 30th August
BACK 2 BASICS - 4-5:30pm. Learn how to prepare and cook simple dishes that are easy, cheap and healthy! Join Hayden in the kitchen for another culinary cornerstone of cooking brilliance. This week: sauces and spices!
SINGLETON'S GOT TALENT - it's finally here! Our first official Singleton-based talent show comes live to the Youth Venue. Doors open at 5pm for a 5:30pm show.
Thursday 31st August
COOKING - 4-5pm. It's a double-dose of cooking this week! Our friends from the CWA will be joining us once again to cook up a storm in the Youth Venue kitchen. Get stuck in!
YOUTH PERSPECTIVES - 5-6pm. Our cameras are rolling, and YOU are the star. We'll be running on-the-spot interviews with anyone in the building on topics that really matter. This week: travel. Stay tuned for more details.
