THE VINTAGE WHIMSY STORY

At the beginning of May 2022 I set up this page to share photos and snippets about my passion for vintage crockery (in particularly Utility China). At the time I had been trying to work out how to turn my hobby into a income earning venture. As Sallie Dodd was already offering her lovely bespoke vintage crockery hire service for events on the Sunshin
e Coast, I figured that I would focus my energy onto buying and selling via Etsy and Facebook. Fast forward a few weeks and I saw Sallie's Facebook post that she had reluctantly decided to sell her beautiful stock and was looking for someone to purchase as a bulk lot. I took this as a sign - that I should become the proud owner of hundreds of vintage dinner plates, luncheon plates, trios, sugar bowls, milk jugs, water jug sets, crystal vases and the list goes on. Today my vintage loving husband and I have managed to create a showroom / office at our home at Palmview to operate Vintage Charm - Crockery and Prop Hire from. Tomorrow the real fun begins of transporting, sorting and unpacking Sallie's collection which we will combine with a substantial collection of our own. It might take me a week or two to get organised before we can start hiring things out, however if you have any thoughts bubbling around about hosting a vintage event, please send me a message.
