Back to today to marry Morgan + Jordan after 17 years together, what perfect weather they have! Wr are all so excited, especially being back with Gordon the bagpiper too, in nod of our brides fathers heritage.

It got me reminiscing about this fine day last year, for Emma + Ollie, amongst the Jacaranda trees.

This particular venue oozes warmth, I often describe it to my couples as a little bit like Grandma’s house… you know that fancy Grandma that has the fancy tea cup sets?! It’s so beautifully modern but has a charm that feels like home.

H E L L O 💋

It has been forever since I jumped on to greet all of my new followers & to of course, send love to all the OG’s, so here goes!

Thank you to everyone for following my little blazing trail of wedding goodness! To be completely honest though, this page hasn’t had much love since reels appeared because frankly, I would much rather invest the time into connecting, crafting the most incredible ceremonies & spending time hugging my big babies (probably not in that order haha)

Like many wedding vendors will agree, this industry can be all consuming (because it’s so amazing) but after a few big years, I am now taking less bookings and finding more balance. It is seriously making me a much better celebrant, mum, partner, & friend!

A little about me:

Fun fact: I am a dedicated movie quoter, most of the time my friends don’t know what the heck I’m on about! I also have a very serious Franks red hot sauce addiction. I literally put it on everything!

My career has been colourful, working on Makepeace Island in Noosa before becoming a celebrant. I have worked in Human Resources, was Customer Service Manager with Virgin in Melbourne and at The Sydney Sofitel on front of house. I also dabbled in retail, managing Sportsgirl stores on the G.C, Bondi, and the Sunshine Coast.

With all of that being said, becoming a celebrant was actually a lightbulb moment for me in 2017. I had the realisation that all of the things I was ever really good at, led me to this role… and 6 years later come this July, I have never looked back!

I was also the humble winner of number 1 marriage celebrant in QLD with in 2021 & 2022 and almost again in 2023 by 0.01% (I know right? 😂) which is the platform my beautiful couples leave kind reviews.

I would ALWAYS recommend review stalking and recommendations to get your ultimate dream team together, as your wedding is a day you only want the experienced professionals at!

Did you know 🧐

I stand to the side during your ceremony? Yup! The only time I jump in, is for the monitum (the nerdy legal words that have us cellies stand tall with pride), the I Do’s (otherwise known as the asking), and the ring exchange. This equals about 6 minutes altogether I would say, and for the rest, I stand next to your last groomsman, shining the beautiful spotlight on the two of you ✨✨

No need to feel nervous though, whether it’s 5 or 125 guests, I PROMISE the space will feel as relaxed as your intimate lounge room as I have loads of tricks up my sleeve to ensure this 🤍

Emma + Jesse’s day was all sorts of amazing, at this fab new SC venue. It was my first time here and it did not disappoint! All coordinated by the very talented Rach from this wedding was just so effortlessly stylish!

After a cracking ceremony, the food came out from and yes, can confirm that Bec & Dan’s is the best pork belly one did ever taste!

Just over here prepping your fam & friends for the best celebration ever! 🎉

Honestly though, housekeeping is so much more than just having all, place their phones on silent.

It’s about putting everyone in the right seats, yes that means any elderly and/or beautifully pregnant guests get dibs, its putting the one already standing up the front at ease, its about making the groomsmen feel comfortable, introducing the vendor team, telling everyone what’s happening during & afterwards, its explaining how to throw confetti/petals and of course, and most importantly, its about setting the VIBE.

Yes, it’s connecting, it’s laughing and it’s being a bit cheeky! This will ensure your guests feel PART OF SOMETHING because that’s what we want. We want to them to feel valued, which will of course, maximise their interest in popping many bottles with you!

Sommer was our marriage celebrant for our recent wedding and was extremely friendly, warm, welcoming, knowledgeable, professional and so talented at what she does!

Sommer felt like a close friend that we had known for years! Our ceremony was so special and she went above and beyond in every aspect of our day - and for that we are so grateful.

Sommer took the time to get to know us both as individuals to create a meaningful love story of how we met, our proposal story and what we loved most about each other. On the day of the wedding she made both of us feel so at ease, un-rushed and made us laugh, which pushed all our worries aside!

She was very engaging making our guests feel a part of our ceremony too. Sommer has a fun, loving and positive energy and this spreads across to everyone. I have had numerous friends and family come up to us saying how amazing she was.

Anyone is lucky to have her as their celebrant!

Lastly, Sommer provided us with a folder that included our love story, vows, and a cute Polaroid picture. This was very special and I will look at it over and over in years to come 100 percent recommend!

Why would you even ask me to stay on as your MC?

Ahhhh including but not limited to:

🎤 I will continue to drive the vibe of your big day with fun and happy vibes only, sincerely and warmth, charisma, professionalism and ease. All announcements, introductions, special mentions, toasts and added extras are all taken care of by the completely sober person in the room!

🎤 It’s not just your ceremony I personalise, your night is filled with more beautiful intricate details around your love story, family and friends! I add an extra questionnaire for this, but also mingle with guests post ceremony, taking notes and gathering more content (unbeknownst to said guests 🤣)

🎤 I will include everyone! Including my little mate here, who pretty much stole the show!

🎤 Oh gosh, let’s not forget to mention I will help create your run-sheet and ensure the kitchen are as happy as Larry’s, meaning speeches (the ones that go for a little longer than planned) will be bumped to the next slot if meals are due to come out… I’ve got it all under control! A happy head chef means a very happy wedding!

🎤 I will ensure that guest book is full to the brim with love, even if it means I take it around to every table… I will also make sure all those Polaroid camera films are emptied!

ONE YEAR AGO!

How is this even possible? Time really does fly, but hasn’t allowed anyone that was part of this day to forget how it felt!

When I asked Maddie and Dan what role they wanted me to play within her day, they said:

Celebrant, entertainer, energetic love sharer & an avid crowd pleaser… and I think it’s safe to say, I did all of these things and also, wait for it, got them HITCHED!

I actually went on to book 3 incredible weddings from this day & have stayed in contact as mates with this phenomenal couple! Lucky us 🫶🏼

Everything was just so aesthetically stunning, but as I said, the energy was something else… a wedding that has wedged itself right in the centre of my heart!

Oh Grace and Alex… where do I begin?

Two of the most beautiful souls, who had a quick change of plans with their wedding location last year, deciding to become married at the iconic on a magnificent Monday.

Taking all of their Sunshine Coast vendors with them, it’s safe to say this wedding has somewhat lodged itself in all of our hearts, forever.

When I arrived that day, I was greeted by Danny Dyson all so excited for the day to unfold. However, when I walked into the bridal suite… there was Grace… slumped somewhat, in an oversized couch, with her something blue velvet shoes poking out the bottom of metres of tulle, looking absolutely gorgeous, but also rather pale!

Fast forward to 8pm that night, after the most incredible celebrations… what do her and Alex drop on us all? That they were expecting 👶🏻 making the little lay arounds on the grounds all afternoon by Grace, make total sense!!!

Fast forward to last month, and I was invited to join the family again to welcome their little Miss into the world through a baby naming, along with 50 of their dearest over cake & tea 🌸

What gratitude was felt over these two days by all, made possible by Mr & Mrs Mallet. We all adore you both so much. 🥹

Let’s address the elephant in the room, weddings are expensive 💸 and not just for the couple (you) hosting the event!

As your guest, it is their responsibility to arrange their travel, accomodation, most likely new outfits, sometimes hair, makeup, nails, a gift or a wishing well card, just to name a few.

So, why wouldn’t we want to involve as many of them into your day as possible and not always just immediate family!

My main goal of course, is to get you married but secondly, I want you all to have SO much fun.

FACT: Yes, your guests CAN be buzzing post ceremony, searching for a bottle to pop, because the energy within your ceremony was GENUINE, ORGANIC, PASSIONATE & REAL.

I truly want your guests left feeling like they were a part of something incredibly special and if they were not there, you would have missed them.

So, a bit of cheek is always guaranteed if I’m your celebrant, even if it involves your parents 🤣

What a day this was for Jaimie & Mick with the ceremony space feeling as comfortable and intimate as their lounge room at home, because isn’t that the point in modern day weddings?

Statistically, only 1 in 10 people marry their first love and only 1 in 50 people marry their high school sweethearts! For Gabby and Matt, this must make marrying their first primary school crush, one in a million!”

For most of us, our first memories from our childhood are logged from around the age of 8… but for some, they can recall times way before that, like Matt, who remembers and fondly, when he met one Miss Gabrielle Mary, when in kindergarten and to add to that, smiles, even being quite a fan of her!

Yes these two have been like magnets since then, always coming back to one another over the years, to decide 6 years ago to never let one another go. Becoming husbundo & wifey last month it is very safe to say, this was an emotional one!

Congratulations again Gab & Matt, you are both so very special & will no doubt, grow very old together!

2023... what a year! 🎊

It held my fullest diary to date, having me knowing as early as autumn, it would be a year of immense growth, both personally and professionally.

Well over one hundred couples trusted me in what can only be described as the most delicate role within their wedding day, celebrant and MC. With this came an abundance of love and gratitude, more than my heart has ever experienced or known.

I worked hard at staying grounded and to have balance, especially in the height of the peak seasons, which offered me the ability to connect beautifully with my couples. My writing and delivery became edgier and with that risks became successes, bringing with it the most incredible energy within ceremony spaces, over and over again. This equalled very happy, blissfully married peeps along with overjoyed families and friends!

Pictured here are Michelle and Andy, who married in the groves of Point Arkwright on the 20th of December. This day also marked their joint 50th birthdays, so naturally, I had to stop in to pick them up this little balloon!

They were joined by the smallest handful of their loved ones and the incredible and thereafter, we popped some Bollinger before they made their way back to their 'birthday party' to announce they just got hitched! How bloody cool is that?!!!

Whilst waiting for everyone beforehand, Ben and I talked casually about the year that was as we watched the waves roll in, feeling blessed that we get to call this thing we do, our jobs. But the thing is, it's just not a job. It's an honour and a privilege, one we don't take lightly but very seriously, ensuring smiles thereafter, just like the ones here, over and over again.

The most sincerest thank you to those couples, those that have booked for 2024, my very special fellow vendors whom for many I now call close friends and all the gorgeous venues that recommend me and my service.

Heart full... and after a long and much needed rest, I am very ready to do it all again!

WHAT A NIGHT!

Gosh put on one hell of a celebration last night! From the magicians on arrival, to the flowing champagne, saxophone players, epic floral displays, incredible music, delicious food and of course amazing company - hundreds of QLD’s most phenomenal wedding vendors were certainly surprised and delighted! So, thank you!

A few more big thank you's… first and foremost, to my beautiful family for their continued support. The pride they have in what Mummy does each weekend when I am away from them is huge. Big sacrifices are made from all vendors in this industry, as obviously our work is mainly weekends. It gets pretty tough sometimes!

My fellow celebuddies and the dozens of local vendors and venues, who at this point I call some of my closest friends, the ones we ring on those lonely office days for long gasbags, hug tight at each wedding and of course recommend over and over to do it all again.

And lastly and most importantly, my couples. Whilst I have not yet wrapped my year up, I would have married 107 glorious couples come 20th of December and so, this award goes to you. Without your kind words of appreciation, this humbled celebrant wouldn't have this incredible award to show my kids today! Seeing the look on their faces makes it all worth it, for me to then go on and explain it's not the award as such, but the customer satisfaction rating.

This year I came in second at 99.98%, last year first at 99.99% and in 2021 first at 99.98%! 8th in QLD for master of ceremonies is also pretty epic!

Consistency is key in this industry and to be this far along in my journey and to still be delivering a service to be proud of makes me so happy. My passion, heart and desire is still as strong as ever for this industry and today, feel overjoyed that the one thing I have always held of upmost importance, being excellent customer service has been achieved again in 2023.

Next year is shaping up beautifully, with more tears of happiness, belly laughs and tender heartfelt moments on the horizon... Bring on 2024! I am HERE FOR IT ALL and cannot wait!
