The love story of Katie and Andy all began when they first met back in 2017 when they worked together at head office in Melbourne. There was an obvious instant attraction! Funnily enough their first date wasn’t the stereotypical flowers and restaurant, it was to the footy to see some live AFL. Katies team the West Coast Eagles was playing Andy’s team, Collingwood. This was supposed to be a group date with both Katie’s and Andy’s friends individually pulling out on the morning of, leaving only Katie and Andy to attend. Collingwood won, although Andy wouldn’t know as he chatted the entire game! This date was so much fun, it carried on to Vietnamese food and bar hopping Richmond, which led to very late Sunday night out and decent hangovers at work the following day.

They initially bonded over their love for Andy’s dog, Bob. Andy would woo Katie into hanging out by asking her if she wanted to walk his dog. Bob & Andy were the package deal, and soon enough all the 3 of them became a family. Two years later they got their cat Toula, and Bob & Toula were the classic brother/sister duo. They used to love cuddling up in Winter and Toula used to love stirring Bob up, he would chase her around their small unit in Northcote.

The rest is absolute history and these guys now have become Mr and Mrs Lenny, with the most epic party to celebrate their love. No amount of rain or changes to a 'plan B' ceremony location were going to dampen the spirits on their wedding day... Katie and Andy embraced the rain and brought in their marriage with massive smiles on their faces and so much love in their hearts💞💞💞 It was a pleasure to be apart of it all.

🤩 Wow! Last night I was recognised as #1 Sunshine Coast & Hinterland Celebrant in the Wedding Industry Awards for 2024 🎉💃❣️

I'm so excited... 😍 not to mention, happy, thankful and SO full of LOVE. Every single day I wake up feeling like I have the best 'job' in the world and I have all of you (my couples, followers & industy friends) to thank for that!

These awards ask newly married couples (from the last 12 months) to vote for their favourite wedding vendors and give them a score. They do not require the vendors to nominate themselves & it's purely choice based. I have been named #1 OR Highly Commended in these awards every year since becoming a celebrant, 7 yrs ago. This makes me feel such immense pride and joy knowing that the couples who I have married in the last 12 months felt strongly enough to vote for me as their favourite wedding vendor. 😍😍😍 I'm truly thankful that you trusted me to be your celebrant and I've loved going on every single journey with every single one of my couples. Bex and Gianni are big fans of the Harry Potter and Marvel Cinematic Universe, and its extraordinary examples of strength, protection, heroism, and ❣️LOVE❣️ It’s become a shared passion, something that they enjoy together and their wedding day and ceremony were full of quotes and stories to celebrate that... a first for me! 🦸‍♂️🦸‍♀️Marvel’s heroes are, for the most part, nothing like us 'ordinary people'. And yet, they’re deeply relatable, because we see ourselves in their stories of love, triumph, and adventure.😍😍

2024 Couples... this is your reminder... Practice your 'first kiss'! It makes a BIG difference if you're both prepared 💋

My advice...
A shorter kiss is better, but a quick peck just won't cut it. You'll need to lock lips for at least a few moments so your wedding photographer can snap a few pics.

Here's the main rule of the wedding kiss: Keep your tongue in your mouth 🤪😬 I know, I know... but it just doesn't photograph real well hahah.

I adore a good dip kiss or when couples cuddle or even use their hands to cup the person's face, stroke their hair, or caress their neck. 😘😘😘😘 So much to think about. Get practising guys. Xx

In honour of this beautiful rain we're blessed with on the Sunny Coast today, I just had a long phone conversation with one of my Brides about a 'wet weather' plan. 🌧

My biggest advice is... HAVE A PLAN B THAT YOU L❤️VE! It's the only thing you can't have a say over on your big day, so remove the stress about the weather and choose a venue that has an option for all weather scenarios.

Please try and remember, it's just a bit of water... you will still end up married to your lover at the end of the day 💃🥳🤩 Plus, the party is always 100 times bigger in the rain!🎶🥳

But also here's some more tips for a wet wedding....

🌂 Pretty brollys at the ready.
🧥👗 A nice jacket if you get cool & a party dress to change into if you get wet.
👢Boots or gumboots for your photos.
💄An emergency hair/makeup kit for touch ups, includinga towel.
🌧Ponchos for your guests.
💝 Embrace it and have some fun in the rain after your ceremony... rainy photos are the BEST!
🥰 Talk to your wedding vendors & trust their judgement.
🎶Prepare a rainy day dance playlist to keep the vibes high!

And please know, if it's a rainy day, I'm bringing the Sunshine in my energy & love during your ceremony.

A little fact about me... I'm a hopeless Romantic😍 I love a good date night, special picnics, love letters, sneaky couples massage, unexpected gifts, movie & a snuggle ... the more soppy, the better!

So Valentine's Day is always a favourite ❤️
My partner doesn't believe in it though, she thinks that you should show your love in lots of different ways every single day of the year. Maybe this is why I adore her so much! 🥰 I'm spoilt!

Hello 2024✨️ Hello Lover's❤️ Hello New Follower's🌻

Hope you've all had the most beautiful Christmas and New Years, spent loads of time with loved ones, relaxed & rejuvenated... I know I did! I even had a few days unplugged and soaking in an outdoor tub at to completely top it off. 😍

So here I am. 🌸 So ready for a new year... lots of new couples to get to know and the excitement of helping plan so many beautiful ceremony celebrations. How lucky am I to completely LOVE my 'job'!?!🤩

It all kicks off this weekend at the The Sunshine Coast Hinterland will come alive and wedding venues will open their doors and welcome couples to visit their beautiful spaces and meet the most amazing wedding vendors. I'm excited! 🥂 I'll be showcasing at the exquisite 🥰
I can't wait to see all of the smiling faces of couples who are at the planning stage of their big day.🎉💍 So lucky!

I still have a handful of places available for 2024 weddings and I'm booking well into 2025, so if you know someone who has recently been engaged, tell them all about what's happening this weekend ... they deserve a weekend away to the and they'll be in good hands for planning their big day!🌄

🔥Charisse & Jorra🔥

Their first date was right here in Montville, 10 years ago. Charisse was new to Australia at the time and as they were driving through Hunchy Road, she was getting worried where Jorra was taking her. Charisse even messaged her flat mate, just in case she was being kidnapped!

Ever since that date, it’s been a wild ride but Charisse and Jorra have grown together and learnt a lot of lessons along the way. They’ve learnt how they both be so generous, value honesty and share a shallow sense of humour. They now know that they are both really bad at directions, especially when they travel and give up easily, once they got lost , gave up, took an uber and their hotel was just right at the next street. But these two also complement each other, balancing each other out.

They should feel proud of where they are now and how they have matured emotionally together and can be so honest and candid and true to each other. Despite both being from humble beginnings and having been dealt such adversity in their lives, Charisse and Jorra continually choose to rise above, guided by faith to cultivate a life with one another.

Congratulations C & J, it was such a pleasure being invited to your very special day and telling your story.💞

She arrived early on the day, checked in on us, greeted our guests and made sure everything was as it should be. The ceremony felt so intimate, personal and relaxed.

🤍 Thomas + Keeley Richardson 🤍

These two lovers met as teenagers and their love story is living proof that 💞‘love at first sight’💞 totally exists. It was so long ago so the details may be a little hazy… But for Thomas, his first sighting of Keeley will be forever etched into his memory. Her blue eyes popped and made him weak at the knees. In fact, they still do!

He knew it was finally time to make Keeley his wife when they had their first international holiday together to New Zealand … However, Toms claim to fame won’t be that he proposed in blissful hot springs overlooking picturesque, snowcapped, mountains. It’s the fact that he successfully proposed wearing only his blue “rubber ducky” speedos as he got down on one knee.🦆

Don't worry, I'm literally only standing in between you both for a minute or so, during your ceremony. I come to ask you the 'I do' question and then I leave you with the mic, so you can say your vows to each other, without me third wheeling 🤦‍♀️🤣

I stand off to the side of your wedding party, so I'm out of all of the important photos, telling your story from the sideline 🤩 Making a great connection with your guests.

This way you can hold hands with your favorite person, laugh with them, look into their eyes, whisper to each other, connect & enjoy YOUR ceremony TOGETHER. 🤍

I use a wireless mic and an iPad so I can easily move throughout your ceremony area, without distraction 🙃

This gorgeous couple were married on the balcony at Pier 33 in Mooloolaba 💞 It was the most stunning day and from the minute that you walked in to their ceremony and reception, it just screamed 🌸SPRING🌸 wedding. The pops of colour were so vibrant and really set the tone for the day. I can't wait to share more pics of the florals🤩

These two aren't really into traditional weddings so we went for a relaxed vibe and their ceremony was more of a personal story shared between them and 70 of their friends and family💙 My fave!

🖤RACHELL + KEEGAN🖤

This love story all began back when Rachell and Keegan were in the same class in 11th Grade… 10 whole years ago! ⚡️⚡️⚡️⚡️ Keegan was the quiet kid in class and for some reason, Rachell liked that and wanted to get to know him more… and of course … he was tall with dark hair and a cute smile. Rachell was the pretty girl in class, giving Keegan a lot of attention and time... so he thought he’d try his luck and made it known that he was going to ask her to the formal. Rachell told him that if he bought her flowers,💐 he could ask her… and he did exactly that… oh and a lot of flirting in class. Rachell said yes to the formal and they started dating shortly after.
Keegan says, 10 years later and Rachell is still that pretty girl he first met, and he still wants to be around her all the time. Rachell says Keegan is still that quiet kid, but he’s also so bright and funny and she never gets sick of his sh*tty dad jokes.🤣

🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟When I met Brooke at my sisters wedding, I knew when it was my time that I wanted her as our celebrant. She had such a warm, friendly and easy going nature that suited our vibe entirely. I loved that she involved all our family and friends into the ceremony script! She kept our nerves at bay on the day and made the ceremony so effortless. I first met this gorgeous couple at the brides older sister's wedding, I was the celebrant... Brooke was the maid of honour and I could see how her and Daniel's connection was just glowing... gosh, I was so excited when they asked me to be their celebrant.🥰

Brooke and Daniel first met as children in 2004 at Norville State School in Grade 3. By Grade 5, they were in the same class, and this is where the attraction began for Brooke, Daniel’s smile caught her eye… oh and his afro. It took a while for Brooke to gain the courage to let Daniel know she was interested. She cringes about it now, but she made the first move by sliding a love note and key ring (with her picture on it) onto his desk. This is where their love story began. Meeting up on the school oval to hold hands and share their very first kiss as smitten 11-year-olds. There was even a sneaky date to the movies to see High School Musical 3 with their friends in year 7… which Nicola her Bridesmaid will remember being a part of. Then it was time to venture to high school, but alas, they decided to start their new school, single and ready to mingle!

But true love always finds a way and of course, this is not where their story ends. Five years later in Year 12, Daniel noticed Brooke again and couldn’t keep his eyes off her. He was attracted by Brooke’s blonde hair and b***y (cough cough beauty). Word got around to Brooke that Daniel was keen, and the love story was back on. Their first proper date was 10 years ago when they were 17 years old, and Brooke picked Daniel up in her yellow Honda Jazz and they went to a friend’s house… you know keeping things casual... the rest is history.... 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟Beautiful Brooke recently married us in the heart of Sunshine Coast hinterland, Maleny. I work within the wedding industry, and have had the pleasure to work alongside Brooke so I had a little advantage, seeing her work her magic for other couples!
From the initial conversations, right up until our special day, Brooke went above and beyond her means to ensure we had the best advice, guidance and care given to us to ensure our day ran as smoothly as possible. Her caring nature, teamed up with her outgoing FUN personality, made our day so enjoyable, intimate, and absolutely perfect for us. We had quite a small ceremony, which made the decision to choose Brooke, rather easy, because we really had only those who meant something to us, present. Brooke got down on the level with our little ones, and made sure they were completely included.. And she just understood who we were as people and what truly mattered to us. Brooke is incredible at what she does, she’s the complete package that couples seek for a celebrant!! So grateful for all Brooke did for us. 💛
