Dear Something For Catering family & friends,

It is with both sadness and excitement that we announce we will be closing the business at the end of 2022.

We started this business in 2014 with a group of mates that wanted to sell festival food & have some fun. It quickly transitioned into a professional operation that set the bar for quality and customer service in the events industry, servicing over 1203 weddings, 627 private events and 19 festivals. What a ride it has been!

For a long time now, as owners, we have juggled other businesses and aspirations hoping one day we could employ a team that would continue our legacy for years to come. As everyone would know recruitment in every industry is a challenge, unfortunately hospitality and events have been hit the hardest. Given this, we feel now is the right time to give 100% to our respective chosen pathways & leave this very successful and popular business behind whilst we are still on top of our game.

We leave this business in the best financial position it has ever been in, a huge achievement. Even more so considering the recent climate, navigating through unprecedented times, all of which have taken a toll mentally and physically. We will be paying all of our suppliers and employees and refunding all client deposits before we close and selling all of our equipment, vehicles and our beloved Bertha…

We have made some amazing friendships along the way and cannot thank you all enough.

There is no business without a team & without ours we could never have achieved so much and all have helped shape this brand. A fun brand that always wanted to be innovative, positive and provide the best possible experience for anyone we work with. You only need to look at our reviews and you will see we have never had a review less than 5 stars, what a team!!! Thank you to all past and present. You have helped shape this journey every step of the way.

This decision is the most difficult we have had to make. This business was a dream, it has provided us with more opportunities than we ever could have imagined and we leave this space with our heads held high, extremely proud of all that we have achieved.

Thank you again to everyone that we met, worked with, helped and supported us along the way. We have a lot of work ahead of us to do & we are sure there will be questions so please reach out and we will assist where we can.

"They were very helpful, organised, and responsive in the lead up to the wedding - it was very easy to communicate with them. On the day, the food tasted great and the staff were lovely.

They really went above and beyond on the wedding day. Unfortunately our wedding cake was damaged while it was being transported to the venue and the team at SFC stepped in and helped us out a lot - they managed to take off the top tier of the cake which was still intact and fix up the icing. The cake wasn't their responsibility so we're very grateful that they helped.

A huge thank you to the Event Manager Nick, the kitchen staff for the delicious food and for saving the cake, and to the bar and wait staff for their wonderful service!"
