Today (Saturday) is the last day I'll ever be 44 and tomorrow is MY BIRTHDAY!!! 🥳🥳

So it seemed like an ideal time to pop up a little re-intro post so those of you that don't know much about me, will get to know me.

Fingers crossed I haven't made my usual multiple spelling mistakes!!! 🤣

I thought of sooo many facts I could pour out about breastfeeding (15 years of being a Breastfeeding Counsellor will do that). I mean there's nutrition, connection, hydration, LOTS of health benefits to baby and mum... the list goes on.

But honestly, there's just something absolutely incredible about how our bodies can make milk (most of the time).

We can make a living fluid that is different from morning to evening and different for a 1 day old baby, to a 1 month to 1 year...

It's bloody magic!!

I've been busting to photograph this little man ever since I knew of his existence as a tiny little jelly bean sized baby. He is happy and smiley and brings with him the magical power to heal hearts.

He knows he is gorgeous, and he definitely knows he is SUPER loved, which is just how it should be.

I completely understand that the cost of getting your photos done sometimes feels like it can’t be justified. And in current times, I think a lot of people (and small businesses) are understandably taking extra care with their spending.

When you’re raising a family, there’s always something more urgent to spend money on - new shoes, birthday parties, groceries that somehow disappear in two days.

And family photos can feel like something to “get to later.”

But here’s what I think..

Photos don’t feel urgent until the moment has passed.
Until the baby curls are gone.
Until the gap toothed smile is filled in.
Until your oldest suddenly looks more like a teenager than a child.

Then, they become priceless.

Because these photos will become the ones your kids pull out someday when they want to remember what it all felt like.

And I never want money to be the reason why you don’t get to have that opportunity.

If I could tell you one thing, it’s this...

Every age matters.

Yes, newborn cuddles are special. But so is the gap toothed smile. The wild toddler energy. The shy snuggles from a seven year old. And even the awkward, taller than you, teens.

They don’t stop needing you just because they grow taller and older.

These years don’t stop being meaningful just because they don’t fit into a neat milestone box.

And I promise you, you haven’t missed anything. You’re actually right on time.

I know this because my own babies have grown much faster than I ever thought possible. I look at these photos and each one takes me back to that moment in time and even though it's long gone, I can still feel it, smell it, remember it. And then I look at them now, and there are still just as wonderful, unique and perfect (just wayyyyy taller)!!
