TRAVELIN' THUNDER (formerly Sydney Stormtroopers) were established in 2001 in affiliation with the now defunct Melbourne Storm Supporters Club (MSSC) and The Graveyard Banner Crew, who were continuously traveling interstate in the early years of the Storm, making a presence known in Sydney. TRAVELIN' THUNDER are the most dedicated Melbourne Storm supporters group outside of Melbourne and are heavi

ly involved in the game and the club. We often represent the Storm fans and the club at NRL events such as the NRL Season Launch, NRL Final Series Week and the NRL Daily M Awards, and often involved in NRL promotions such as the 'You're The Difference' ad which was filmed at Travelin' Thunder's HQ. We attend most away games throughout the year, whether its city, country, interstate, trial, or REP games like the State of Origin. In 2017 we traveled to both Perth and Adelaide away games. The start of 2015 brought us our first off season get together 'Sydney Stormtrooper Day' and 2016 brought TRAVELIN' THUNDER to new heights throughout the rugby league community with its involvement with all NRL clubs and their Fan Relations Consultants that brought group ticket discounts and other benefits to the game and the supporters. TRAVELIN' THUNDER managed to raise it's social media followers to over 1000 which was a proud achievement. TRAVELIN' THUNDER focus on the quality instead of quantity of Storm supporters, as we want to deliver to the NRL community the best supporters group around.

SHOUT OUT ALERT SHOUT OUT ALERT for Sunday 6 October 2024. FURTHER UPDATE re MEET up SUNDAY morning - we now need to meet up with TODAY crew - Cnr Dawn Fraser Ave and Olympic Bld at times below.

Here is the update I promised from earlier this week!

STORM Members/Supporters we need you to be at Olympic Park Homebush with us for TODAY show segments from 7am ( arrive by 6.45am) assemble at corner of Dawn Fraser Ave and Olympic Bld- Pullman side of stadium.
We know its super early but it is Grand Final Day and we need to make our presence felt from sun up! Show who the true supporters are, not like the Riff bandwaggon!
You will be actively involved in all the TODAY Grand final segments leading up to the next exciting chapter at 9.50am, see below:
STORM Members/Supporters VS RIFF Supporters/on the bandwagon in a challenge to win great prizes!
This too will be outside Accor Stadium, Pullman side of the stadium.
Come on all who can be there, you know you want to be there, make it happen - ideally we would like at least 30 loud, proud and purple STORM members/supporters to be at both, and of course children are welcome.
PLEASE respond to this post if you can definitely be at Accor Stadium, Sunday morning 6 October, ideally from the start at 7am.
Trains are close by and parking should be available on the street too nearby for these activities - parking will be strictly limited later. Book parking for the game if you haven't already done so.
