After a long time talking about weddings, let's change the topic:Themed party for children, specifically, for more than 1 child birthday.

Quite often some parents come to me asking for ideas for one party for 2 or more children😅.
Things to have in mind when doing that:
- The difference of age
- Different gender

For exame, if it is a 5 yo boy and a 7yo girl birthday. There is a special attention to have a party that both like and does not emphasise the boy's or girl's features.

A good and easy way for solving this dilema is choosing cartoons or movies theme that have characters tha both like; or even neutral themes.

I am sharing some ideas in the next posts.

IT IS MAY!!! MAY is one of rhe most popular mobths for wedding. In Brazil it is knon as "THE" Bridal/ Wedding month.
Therefore I can't stop talking about it just now. 😅
Today let's discuss the size of your wedding.

Some couples enquire for a SMALL wedding/ for ONLY 100 guests.

Usually for the wedding industry how does it work?

SMALL- Up to 50 attendees
MEDIUM- 50-150 attendees
LARGE - over 150 attendees.

Getting married legally

In Australia, you can choose to get legally in some different ways.
1. At the registry office
The procedures are available on the NSW service website. You must fill out the online form, provide your documents, attend an interview, and book your ceremony.

2. At the pace of your preference with a registered celebrant
There are many celebrants registered that you can contract. They do all paperwork for you and give the beautiful speeches that we love. The good ones spend time with the couple to understand their love story and do a customized address.

Quite often, I find couples that have a local pastor or a dear friend that speaks well, and they would love to hear the speech from that person, BUT it would not have a legal effect. There is another solution to that

3. The place and the speaker of your choice + celebrant

You can still contract a celebrant for the paperwork only, and the person of your choice can conduct the ceremony.

In any case, a notice of Intended Marriage is required. Make sure you do it at least a month before the wedding date.

The style
Note that we haven't spoken of any vendor yet. That's why... To request any quote you should have a date, number of guests and "what do you want".
There are so many options to choose from:
- Indoors or Outdoors
- Intimist or Big party
- Day, afternoon or night?
- Classic, rustic, boho, fancy, ...?

So many options!!! I believe this is the moment when you and your partner seat together and start to dream about HOW this day is going to be.

TIPS:
Create a folder in your phone or Pinterest and save all inspirations of bouquet, decorations, cakes... everything you both like.

NEXT STEP:
Now it is time to go after the vendors.

My perfect wedding - III
This my favourite part: The Budget!
I hear so often the following question: How much does cost a wedding for X guests?
My answer is always the same: DEPENDS!
You can spend $1000 dollars or $50000 for a wedding for 50 guests.
In the first one you are going to do your ceremony in any outdoor space, contract a package tha includes a celebrant and a wedding arbour, then go to a restaurant, where each guest pays its own food.
In a $50k budget we can think of a sofisticated wedding. Perfect dress, a beautiful venue, natural flowers, professional photographer and live music.
Between these two budgets there are so many options!!! So, understand how much you can afford will define so many other things such as the price range for photographer, catering, decoration and etc.
If you have no idea how to start planning, the budget is definitely one of the first and most important steps.

Chosing a date

Let's talk about the date in details.
As I said in the previous post all these items are flexible however, a change in one maybe requires a change in the other 3 factors (check previous post).

When you are defining the date remember of:
- Time you need x time you have to plan and pay all vendors;
- If your guests need to travel, find a date around a holiday;
- If you want an outdoors ceremony avoid winter months;
- If you have a specific flower or flower colour in mind, check for the flowers season. Some flowers can be find only in a specific period of the year.
