Well done to Sydney Showground on their new upgrades designed to make the venue more inclusive and accessible.

The upgrades include a quiet 'sensory' room for those needing a break from activity, an adult assisted change room with electric hoist and adult-sized change table, and an updated parent room. This will have a genuine impact for event attendees 👏

Today is International Day of People with Disability and an opportunity to talk about what we can all do to make events and workplaces entirely inclusive. While there has been great progress in recent times, we still have a long way to go;
🧑‍🦼 1 in 5 people worldwide live with some form of disability. Yet, just 1 in 4 of those with disabilities are employed
💼 70% of people with disabilities report discrimination in the workplace
☎️ Over 1 million Australians with disability are socially isolated, with limited access to community engagement, furthering their exclusion from society

Accessibility is not a mere afterthought – it is a fundamental right. Our communities will thrive, becoming more cohesive, inclusive, and effective, when we embrace people of all backgrounds and abilities.

We are proud to help bring these conversations to light with our many partnerships with advocate organisations, including AGOSCI - representing people with complex communications needs - Asia Pacific Autism Conference 2025, Virtual Disability Conference in September 2024 and more. These conferences are driving the narrative and laying the path to more inclusive societies across the world.

Congratulations to our Head of Business Development and Marketing Jessica Ferguson, for winning the inaugural PCO category of Business Events Perth Aspire Awards!

Jess will accompany Dr Kylie Sandy-Hodgetts - Founder and President of International Surgical Wound Complications Advisory Panel (ISWCAP) - to attend the 7th World Union of Wound Healing Societies Congress 2026 (WUWHS 2026) in Kuala Lumpur to try and bring the 2030 Congress to Perth.

Today we're onsite in delivering the Australia and New Zealand Short Term Rental Association (ASTRA) 'Here to Stay' Conference 🏡 This is the first event in a 3-year partnership agreement between Arinex and ASTRA.

The 2-day conference will bring together 300+ delegates, 17 sponsors and 23 exhibitors, including the likes of Airbnb, Booking.com and Breezeway. Tomorrow it will finish with a gala dinner at the trendy Howard Smith Wharves for a night of celebration.

Congratulations to the Organising Committee and we look forward to collaborating on many more inspiring experiences in the future!

Speaking at IMEX America, CEO Nicole Walker will detail how Australia's new 'Right to Disconnect' legislation is integral for the wellbeing and productivity of employees.

The legislation has been in effect for more than one month now and Arinex has undertaken a number of measures to ensure our staff feel empowered to switch off in their down time, while also meeting the needs of our clients and attending to urgent matters.

Nicole will share more in today's session at alongside our wonderful IAPCO colleagues Ajay Bhojwani, Ori Lahav and Nicky McGrane, with Estefanía Zárate Angarita as moderator. See you there!

🌳 WTTC revealed today that travel and tourism accounted for 6.7 per cent of all carbon emissions globally in 2023, down from 7.8 per cent in 2019, when global travel was at its peak

🎤 Over the course of the 3-day Summit, the speaker list comprises former US Secretary of State John Kerry, Western Australian Premier Roger Cook, Tourism Australia managing director Phillipa Harrison, wildlife conservationist Robert Irwin and many more big names.
