Bonita & Nicholas survived what is, by far, the windiest wedding we have EVER shot. 💨

This day in July on Sydney Harbour was one for the books. It’s normally quite breezy around the Opera House, but this was next-level—2-3 times worse than we’ve ever experienced! To give you an idea, Bonita’s veil was practically airborne the entire time. 😅

At one point, we even had Shennen holding it down—don’t worry, we photoshopped her out later! 🤣 But through it all, these two were absolute troopers. And despite the wind, nothing could shake how perfect their day turned out.

It was such a delight to reconnect with Joanna and Joey, who were wedding clients of ours back in 2018 and here we are, back at it again, celebrating their growing family after all these years.

This shoot was particularly special as they're actually based in Singapore, but Joanna and Joey moved back to Sydney temporarily so the grandparents could meet their beautiful baby girl. It’s an honour to be part of their journey and document these special memories. Welcome to the world, Baby Ella and congratulations again Joanna and Joey!

Here’s what Hazel and Chien had to say about their experience:

"The best investment we made for our wedding was by booking Russell for our wedding photography (and engagement photos)! From the beginning to the end of the process, it was so smooth, we were given lots of helpful information in preparation before the wedding and a sweet little emergency kit which we did end up using on the day. Russell's vision and style is timeless and looking through the photos of the day we felt we were re-living our wedding.

The photos taken flowed to show a story of the day and brought back all the emotions. On our wedding day, Russell and team were very organised and I didn't have to just worry about the photos, because they were very aware of the timing and helped keep everything run on time too.

The photos were quality, but Russ is more than just the photos he takes! He is super easy to work with, very fun and more like a friend to us. A big thank you to Russell and team for making the day memorable for Chien and I."

It was so good seeing Maggie and Aaron again for their maternity session after all these years since their wedding! It's always so lovely to be part of these special moments, celebrating the journey of love and life. 🤰🏻
