Almost 2 years ago, I had the most amazing time marrying these two legends, Alex and Nic. Now, this weekend, I get the honour of marrying their best mates, Bri and James! I love getting to see couples I’ve married before at their loved ones’ ceremonies. 🥰

Truthfully, Alex wasn’t super excited about the ceremony part of the day (we listen and we don’t judge 😂), but I was beyond thrilled when I got an email from her after the big day saying it was perfect and way more fun than she expected (among other lovely things)! 🙌🏼 ⁣⁣

Ceremonies are such an important part of the day, and they don’t have to be something to dread. 😅 In fact, they can be the highlight! After all, how could a ceremony all about you two be boring?!⁣⁣ Alex and Nic are self-proclaimed as the funniest people they know (and I’ll totally back them on that one, they are hilarious)! It was such a fun day with a perfect couple. ⁣⁣ 💕

Do I take part in weddings? Yes! Do I post about them? Not really. 😅 In fact, I’m currently in the process of a little website refresh and realised I haven’t shared these cuties yet – and they definitely deserve a permanent spot on my feed (as do many others and I’ll get there, eventually 🙈)

I had the absolute pleasure of marrying Tahlia and Josh a while back (over a year and a half ago now!) Loved making these adventurous spirits Mr. and Mrs. on this stunning day at in Freshwater.

It’s not every day I get to marry old mates of mine but back in April I got to do just that. 💕⁣⁣

Now, I must confess I knew Beth and Pete separately however it never dawned on me to match make them so Bumble did it instead. 😆 I mean sure, I’m a rubbish Cupid but I like to think I made up for it by making them officially Mr. and Mrs. in the long run. All’s well that ends well, and this ended up very well indeed!⁣⁣

These two lovers share so much in common and truly are a match in every sense of the word. They are also top notch dog parents to their pup Woody who well and truly made an appearance in the ceremony. At one point he even tried to go for a swim in the creek. More than fine by me because I absolutely love impromptu moments in ceremonies.⁣⁣ 💕

Pete is also a wood working genius and made the signing table, chairs, arbour and bench seats for the ceremony. On their second date he gifted Beth a hand made bath caddy. Set the bar real high early on, but clearly exceeded it with this gorgeous ceremony set up. A true labour of love. Let’s talk unplugged ceremonies.⁣
⁣
There’s more than one way to do this and I wanted to share how we did it at Bek and Ben’s wedding.⁣
⁣
They had a mostly unplugged ceremony. Keyword mostly. Yes, this is a thing!⁣
⁣
I spoke with their awesome photographer Lucy ahead of the ceremony so we were on the same page and then I gave all of their guests a heads up prior to the bride’s arrival that they would be given one collective opportunity to pull their phones out and take a snap if they wanted to. But no devices before or after this point! ⁣
⁣
After the bride’s arrival, the time had come and everyone had one shot, one opportunity, to take a picture of our beautiful bridal party. Then it was phones back away and on with the ceremony. This approach left all the guests who wanted a ceremony picture satisfied and able to focus on the ceremony. It also meant that Lucy was free to capture their guests like this without phones covering their faces. Everyone’s a winner!⁣

As you can see from the last shot most people wanted a photo and jumped at the opportunity. 💕

These two lovebirds met in 2012 and have had some amazing adventures together along the way. Whether they’re cycling, travelling or just hanging at home bingeing their favourite TV shows, they make fun wherever they are and their wedding was no exception! I'm so glad they chose me to be a part of their day. It was magical, and impeccably organised thanks to Bek being a multitasking perfectionist (we have more than just our name in common 😉)⁣

I’M BECK! 👋

Here's six things you may not know about me (scroll through the photos for evidence and I put the puppy at the end because we all know they’re the highlight):

1. I worked in television for 13 years. I started as a receptionist and worked my way up to being an Executive Producer. I got to do loads of cool things. I ran a music channel, a movies channel, I managed a broadcast studio and much more. I even produced the behind the scenes of Madonna’s tour! Chances are I met one of your fave celebrities along the way, except Leonardo DiCaprio because he ditched us to party with models in the south of France .

2. My Dad was a jockey. My grandfather and great grandfather were also jockeys.

3. My sister is an awesome bridal makeup artist! Ash is the one who pushed for me to become a celebrant after my maid of honour speech at her wedding. She is so talented, at everything she tries her hand at to be honest, but her makeup work speaks for itself.

4. I’ve been married for over five years. 💕 We are so different but we make each other laugh and he’s my forever mate. He has started snoring in recent years though so I may have to rethink things. 🤔😉😆 Yes, he is grabbing my butt in the photo. 🥴

5. Two little dudes call me Mum. Fletcher and Lachlan (or as we call them Fletch and Lachie) are the best thing that’s ever happened to me. I love being a Mum. Sure it's exhausting af but I wouldn’t have it any other way. They have changed my perspective on life dramatically and were the final kick in the butt I needed to make celebrancy my full time gig.

6. I have a rescue dog called Indy. We named her that because she came from Wagga Wagga and on the five hour drive home Travis and I had shortlisted a few names, Indy being one of them. I was texting my parents the names and it turns out my Dad won the Wagga Cup on a horse called Pride of Indies. We took that as a sign.

LUCY & NICK
Married 11.03.22

Honestly, the most legendary of legends. These guys are just so fun and the epitome of down to earth. So basically, I love them.

They got married one year and one week to the day after they welcomed their gorgeous little boy Alby in to the world. He played a big role in the ceremony of course. I chose to share a poem that Lucy wrote when she was 33 weeks pregnant but kept it a surprise from her. She told me it’s the part of the ceremony that got the tears flowing (sorry, not sorry because I love a few happy tears during a ceremony!) I didn’t have to do anything to get Nick choked up though because as you can see from the photos just seeing his son and soon to be wife was enough. He’s a sweetheart! They are amazing parents and when they look at each other they remind me of this emoji 😍. They laugh their way through life together and love dogs, wine and the water. What a lovely way to be. 💕

Today I married Lucy and Nick at Whale Beach. The weather in Sydney this week has been horrific and yet look at what they got! Mother Nature put on a stunning show for this water loving duo. So happy they got the day they dreamt of. Can’t wait to share more of this wedding with you all. 💕

DANIELLE & JACKSON

I married Danielle and Jackson one very hot day in January at the beautiful Bawley Vale Estate. It was forecast to be raining all day but we had full sunshine so if you are looking at the forecast ahead of your big day and worrying, don’t get too far ahead of yourself. It can change in an instant! That being said, it’s always best to have a solid wet weather plan. 😉

Loved marrying Danielle and Jackson! They have known each other for many years but built a true friendship before they started dating and it shows. Marrying these two was made extra special as they were 33 weeks pregnant with their little girl. What a year for them! 💕 While we were signing their papers Danielle’s Mum said to me “Wow, you really got to know these two!” and honestly, she couldn’t have given me a bigger compliment. I really take the time to get to know my couples so that their ceremony is “them” so I was chuffed.

Fun fact about me!

A few years back I was Maid of Honour at my besties wedding and I swapped clothes with the Best Man for our reception entrance. I can confirm that his outfit was much more comfortable than mine so I left it on until after my speech. 😆

Very excited to be back at Whale Beach in a few weeks time to marry more lovers. 💕

This weekend last year I was marrying these two legends with my little Lachie growing in my belly. 💕 It was a rainy day but they didn’t let it ruin their fun! Kathleen’s sister Hannah actually conducted half of the ceremony and it was really beautiful.

Married 13.01.22

Wow, what a great time I had marrying these two! We bonded instantly over our adopted dogs and I was so happy when they chose me to be their celebrant. They truly are best friends who love to have a good time together. Whether it’s making up their own language, dancing around their house together or spoiling their dog Lenny, these two know how to have fun and are truly content around one another. The wedding day itself was insanely beautiful and felt very ”them” which is always my aim for each ceremony. At the end of my ceremonies I like to quickly share my hopes for the couple and for Georgia and Matt I hope they continue to have a life full of love, friendship, puppies and spontaneous dance!

I know it’s been quiet over here on my account but a little someone has been keeping me very busy. Everyone meet Lachlan. 🥰 We welcomed him in to our family two weeks ago but I’m still around for quotes and my couples who have already booked me so please don’t hesitate to reach out.
