Swirly waves of delight and a tingle of nerves for my debut live set this Friday evening at the beautiful

Rooted in my Filipino and Egyptian heritage, I’ve woven textures and rhythms that echo the lush islands and the mystique of the desert. I’m also fascinated by the secret life of insects ~ the way they scurry and float through their hidden adventures.

It’s a blessing to share stories on Gumbaynggirr Land.

sense unusual began from the seed of wanting to connect to a deeper understanding of sensuality, odd feelings that sat neither here nor there and the many faces of love.

‘unveiled bloom’ is the 10th and final mix of my residency with .radio and is possibly my favourite. I slowed down and I poured from a place of sensitivity and curiosity. It cross-pollinates corners of sound that I admire such as jazz, dub, drone and warmer hues of minimal. I also included the instrumental of a song I released earlier this year which is a homage to my Egyptian heritage.

If you’ve followed along to one or more chapters ~ thank you and I hope it soundtracked something intimate and special for you.

I wove this mix to reflect my time in Berlin ~ with little experience in the city I was open to absorb. 6 months flew by and I found myself moved by its evocative and magnetic pulse.

This chapter ‘pipe dreams’ builds a hypotonic embrace. An invitation to spiral into the warm core of the dancefloor, where I often found myself in and an ode to the many sounds I was exposed to.

As always, these mixes blend spoken word, sung fragments, voice notes, and samples ~ pieces of life I gathered. Bisou to my dears for allowing me to scatter your words of warmth or wit.

Performing on unceded Aboriginal land fills me with deep reverence, and I reflect on the privilege of creating and sharing art here.
