A bright, banger of a bouquet for Alissa - one very SPICY WIFEY! 👰🏼‍♀️🌶️💃🏼

The vibe for this wedding was bright, fun, sculptural, artistic and sophisticated, brought to life via a sunny, citrusy, fiery colour palette of yellows, oranges, pinks and reds - which is EXACTLY what this bouquet embodied 🤌🏽

I love nothing more than creating bridal bouquets that capture the essence of the bride who holds them - and this one has now easily become one of my faves because Alissa was such a gem to create for 🥹💛

What is our QUINTESSENTIAL ‘boujee floral style’? 👀

Romantic, moody, bold colours…
Elegant, garden style, soft pastels…
Modern, minimalistic, muted neutrals…
Sculptural, artistic, monochrome colour palette…

WHATEVER the wedding or event design brief is - it will always be unique in nature 🌟
Therefore, we will always adapt our floral design style and composition ingredients accordingly, to match the brief 💁🏼‍♀️

HOWEVER - our floral creations will always possess certain distinctive details, that differentiate our design work from others…

What do I mean by this? 👉🏼 I’ve rounded up a mix of our recent favourite floral designs above, to showcase what I mean!

Characteristics of our ‘boujee floral style’ are:
🦄 We base our design process heavily on interior design principles and elements - we especially like to experiment with contrast vs likeness of colours, shapes, heights and textures
🦄 We take a thoughtful and intentional approach - curating detailed colour palettes, choosing very specific floral ingredients to create a certain look and incorporating unique details to elevate a design
🦄 We don’t typically do scattered floral placements & mixed colour looks - we like to “block” certain floral ingredients and colours together to create impact and a modern look
🦄 We definitely lean more towards sculptural, exotic, unusual, unique, interesting, alluring, architectural style blooms > dainty, whimsy, classic, ‘run of the mill’ blooms. In saying that though - we will always choose what blooms suit the brief best! We do do ‘garden style’ florals - but always with a modern, sculptural flair 😉
🦄 We don’t shy away from incorporating non-floral ingredients - the more eclectic, the better! Ribbons, textiles, jewels, rocks, moss, produce (possibly anything you might find in a supermarket 🙃) - were all for it 🔥

There are some floral designs that you create, that become permanently imprinted on your retinas forever 👁️👄👁️

And these tall, lush, show-stopping flower frames for Kelly & Juan’s vibrant luxe wedding soiree were certainly that! 😮‍💨

They wanted an impressive “wow” floral moment to frame the iconic entrance of , setting the tone for their wedding guests as they arrived for their intimate wedding reception celebration ✨

What I particularly loved about this August wedding, is that I was able to incorporate so many delicious seasonal goodies specific to mid-late winter into this design - including ALL of my favourite flowering branches i.e. camellia, blossom AND magnolia 🥹

One of my favourite bouquet design tricks? 👀

I LOVE blending contrast and similarity to create intriguing juxtapositions, exploring how these two elements interact and complement each other in a specific floral design 🔥

Take these playful petite bouquets that were held by Bryony’s bridesmaids - dressed in a vibrant hue matching the colour theme of their respective bouquets 🤌🏽

Initially the plan was for an “en masse” look - but I went a little rogue & decided to blend 2 x flower choices per bouquet instead 🙃

It was October - there were SO many incredible seasonal Spring flowers choices, so I wanted to combine a larger focal flower with a whimsy flower accent, keeping within the same colour family or gradient for each bouquet.
I also wanted to juxtapose different textures and shapes if possible, i.e. spiky pincushions X delicate butterfly ranunculas, soft round guelder rose X star shaped flannel flowers, etc. I was obsessed with them all ⭐️

The main points to take away from this story are:
1: There is actually A LOT of thoughtful, ingenious design planning that goes on in MY HEAD with everything that I create, and every wedding or event we execute 🧠
2: The primary catalyst for what we do as a wedding florist & stylist, is our unrelenting CREATIVE PASSION and love for bold intriguing design ❤️‍🔥
#3: The reason we get to create the epic designs we do, is because all of our clients TRUST us completely to do what we do best 🥰

Your guest tables are a core styling consideration, when it comes to bringing your wedding day vision to life ✨

They’re the perfect design opportunity to create impact, the desired mood and ambience, and showcase your unique wedding aesthetic, love story & personalities through thoughtful visual storytelling and carefully curated details.

This was exactly the case for Bryony & Jacob’s wedding reception tables! 🍊

Bryony had always wanted a funky, quirky, citrus inspired floral and styling vibe for her wedding, with a mix of Spring seasonal blooms & Aussie natives 🍋
So we used modern table toppers that suited their round table floorplan to create suspended flower clouds with strawflower & dried citrus garlands, petite floral + fruity styled moments, fun shaped tapers & fruit shaped candles on unique ceramic bobble coasters 🤌🏽

Then after her recent travels to France, she was inspired to inject a French flair into their day… which is what we did! 🇫🇷
Guest favours were handmade fruit scented soaps that doubled as place cards, table numbers became fruits in French language, and menu design accents completed the look 🧼

It was a whole VIBE!!! ❤️‍🔥

killed it with the stationary brief - as per usual, and captured these table moments so deliciously 📸🔥

Jackson & Harris’s exquisite wedding day, as captured by 📸🤎

Looking back on these moments I’m so thankful to have been a part of bringing this striking design brief to life - I’d do it all again with you 😘

What I loved about this wedding aesthetic:
〰️ This historic venue 💯💯💯
〰️ It was less about creating something “pretty”, and more about creating botanical artful forms
〰️ Fun textures and interesting shapes > pretty ruffly blooms and dainty stems
〰️ The opportunity to design within an unusual but sophisticated masculine colour palette of neutrals, bold red, orange and yellow hues + earthy greens
〰️ The subtle mid century modern aesthetic and vintage vibes - I absolutely love when interior design has an influence on an event design brief. I had the best time sourcing these vintage glass vases and ashtrays for the table sculptures 👏🏽
〰️ The unexpected but perfect pairings of elements e.g. lebanese apricots & nepenthes, coleus foliage & green tomatoes. My inner creative spirit was on fire 🔥

AND - just how suave and dapper did the boys look?! The ultimate cool cats 😎

Here’s a round up of our favourite reception table moments from Jackson & Harris’s wedding 🍅🫑🌶️

So many exquisite details - it was difficult to choose which one to feature first! Although I do have a soft spot for that chilli lattice slipper orchid moment ❤️

HELLO, I’m still here! 👋🏽

Not being consistent on IG lately has been an odd feeling for me, and although I berate myself for it - sometimes there’s just a bit TOO much to juggle as a small business owner, and when this happens you need to let go of some things to allow space for those that are highest priority…

Which has certainly been the case for me in recent times - I’ve felt this more in the last 3-4 weeks than any other time since I began this business! 😮‍💨

It’s been a busy November of weddings, a rebrand shoot, handling new enquiries, design planning for early 2025 weddings & last minute 2024 events!
(+ juggling my physio job 2-3 days a week which has allowed me the freedom to invest so much BACK INTO this business, but it’s really thrown my work/life balance out of whack which I’ve struggled with 😖)

For December we have a few events to round out the year and lots of rebranding admin and website prep to do In preparation for the big “NEW ERA OF BOUJEE” reveal happening early 2025 🔥💯💥

So stay tuned - VERY exciting times ahead for this business in 2025! 😝

Jess & John’s exotic bridal table styling 🌴

Which just quietly - was pretty awesome! 👏🏽
Why? Because NOTHING was off limits! 🔥

We used exotic and tropical florals, foliages, and fruits, combined with bromelaid plants to create fascinating sculptural moments, + taper candle moments with cascading orchids and sandy accents for that authentic tropical, beachy feel 🏝️

It was anything but a typical, run of the mill, conventional bridal table - and we love that! ✌🏽

Sometimes, (nearly) all you need for those perfect wedding day photos is…

Great natural lighting! 📸⛅️🤌🏽

I remember waking up on Maddie & Alex’s day and noting that it was windy (dammit! - not great for floral design stability but great for movement in photos), and that it was overcast.

An overcast sky provides SUCH good lighting - which is exactly what I reassured Maddie about when I dropped off the bouquets 🙃

And sure enough - these photos show us just why this is 😮‍💨
The vibrancy of the colours, the reflection off of the water, and those moments of dappled sunlight and the way they reflected off the disco balls 🪩 ☀️🤌🏽

I cannot wait to see the professional shots! 👏🏽

As a wedding florist AND stylist, we can bring together stunning floral designs and full table styling to create a unique, custom tablescape that’s goes way beyond basic bud vases and candles - which is exactly what our Boujee Tbale Styling service is all about it 💯🔥👏🏽

It’s the perfect option for wedding couples who want expertly styled tables for their reception - without the price tag of having to invest in a separate wedding stylist or our full scope venue styling service, the Boujee AF Styling’ service 💁🏼‍♀️

We have 3 different package options that you can select:

✨ Chique: $20/person ✨ Abundant: $35/person ✨ Bridal: $200/metre

We’ll quote based on your guest count and offer recommendations that fit your budget, meal style, and venue layout.
Before final payment, we can adjust costs based on confirmed numbers and table setup, and also provide mock-ups to show how we intent to style your tables with florals, decor, produce, linens, lighting, etc., for your approval or to determine if any adjustments are needed.
For this wedding, we customized this table design between the Chique and Abundant packages based on final preferred mock-ups 🙃

We charge a $400 flat fee for our Boujee Table Styling service which covers design planning, sourcing, setup, and access to our elusive decor inventory including dinosaur designs, oak lab, hall of flame and more 🙌🏽

We also collaborated with on the stationary design for this one to coordinate a final cohesive tablescape look that was impactful, vibrant and fun! 🍊
