A typical day in the life of a florist………………..

It starts the day before when we are trying to be a tad psychic and guess what flower varieties, colours and quantity ( so no wastage) are needed for the fresh market morning, and this is the only real control we have all day 😂

We have customers ordering for joyful occasions such as engagements, weddings, births, beat cancer 🙌🏻 celebrations and then we have customers needing sympathy deliveries and other customers ordering their parents funeral or celebrations of life flowers. There are also the couple who have been married for many many years who have had to sadly say goodbye 😢

We smile and cry with them and our emotions are a constant yo-yo.

Buying flowers is very personal and emotional and florists are the most empathetic people you’ll meet! Many of our customers become dear friends because we have been there from the 21st’s to the engagement to the wedding and to the births. All life milestone’s 🫶🏻

Flowers truly are medicine for the soul and you only have to walk into a florist shop to feel the true sense of it. The smell, the colour the freshness and varieties. Some you have possibly NEVER seen before and others you don’t know how to pronounce their name properly 😂
