The Celebration of Life for our much loved and respected Life Member Phil Cooley took place this afternoon before 340 friends and family at Petersham Town Hall as well as 60 who joined the streaming service.

Our love and support goes out to Phil Jnr (Jamie), Grant, Allison, Natalie and their families as well as Ros who was Phil's partner for 20 years.

I thank the large numbers of Life Members and members as well as the full NRL Squad that were in attendance.

Phil left the ceremony surrounded by his family to Simply the Best and given a guard of honour by the referees.

Yesterday I had the great honour of being Marriage Celebrant for Peter Mansour & Sally Daddah in the Loft at Doltone House Prymont.
Despite the weather it was a wonderful union of two families and friends.
Sally and Peter - thank you and I wish you a long and happy life together.

Today I had the great honour of being Celebrant for the funeral and celebration of life for Thomas Hand.
Tom was a legend of Dee Why and Queenscliff Surf Clubs over a combined 54 years as a successful competitor and later as a coach and all other aspects of surf craft building, maintenance and as an inspector.
A wonderful eulogy was delivered by his past team mates and family. A very moving ceremony. You were much loved and respected 'Wockeye'.

Almost 2 years ago I had the great honour of being Celebrant for the funeral service of Lance Thompson who sadly passed away a young man. I think of Lance and his family often and hope they are being supported as I am sure they are. A wonderful player and generous person. He was a real rugby league man.

Angus, Harry and I are very proud parents today, to welcome to the family Mercy!
Mercy is a 1988 Mercedes Benz Hearse and is a stylish, classic old girl!
Mercy will be going in for some minor restorations to bring her back up to her forma glory! So stay tuned! Until then Harry is still a legend!

The NSWRLRA welcomes the return of Rugby League - the Greatest Game of All - and wishes all the best to the referees, players and officials.

This weekend the match officials will wear a black arm band in recognition of the recent loss of Noel Bissett OAM #708 - Life Member of both the NSWRLRA and the ARLRA.

We also pause at this time to mark the passing in recent times of two graded members - Alan See #633 and Tony Butler #759. Thank you to each of these men who contributed so much to our game.
