Honestly....... we would be so much happier talking about you and your professional photography and/or film needs. However, in the interest of helping those new to DC Images understand who we are, what we do and where we come from........ here we go.
Long story short DC Images is the life dream of yours truly (aka Dale), was created in 1996, established in Sydney in 2003 and we genuinely love everything about what we do.
From 1995 to 2018 I received a ‘Diploma In Professional Photography’ from two-years study whilst gaining a hands on education in one of New Zealand’s largest photographic stores until 1999. Mid 1996 I created DC Images. I then spent 1999 & 2000 navigating the globe as a cruise ship photographer whilst visiting 70+ countries. In 2001 & 2002 I managed a professional photography & film store in North Sydney. Then in mid 2003 (oddly enough at the same time I met my future wife) I took to DC Images full time. 700+ weddings and countless portrait shoots, corporate assignments, weddings expos and cups of coffee later brings us to now.
Taking things a step further everything I have experienced in life comes to bear in my work and with all things DC Images. I have been fortunate enough to build a studio that includes a group of talented professionals who love to observe how people live as much as I do – capturing their history, their story and their traditions. We love to capture people engaged in reality, I believe this is an incredibly important aspect of all our work as it allows us to elicit moments of genuine spontaneity that bring a real sense of freedom to our images.
In short. I love weddings. I love family. And I love the incredible experiences a lifetime of being behind the camera has provided me. Most of all I love bringing all of that together for others in the creation of truly unforgettable photography & film.
Proudly DC Images has received six Creative Asia Awards, eight International Loupe Awards, seven Australian Professional Photography Awards, twelve Australian Institute of Professional Photography Awards and has been a finalist at the Australian Bridal Industry Awards four years in a row. We have also been a finalist in the Brides Choice Awards, granted an Associate membership with the Australian Institute of Professional Photography and judged to be in the top 35 wedding photographers across Sydney by Wedding Diaries.
