F#$%! WEDDING TRADITIONS
F$%^! WEDDING TRADITIONS!!
… and by that I am referring to the ones that don’t hold any meaning to you at your wedding.
In this video, I share a few pointers that may help you design your wedding to be unique and reflective of you.
- How history and movies need not force your hand into doing something that has no meaning to you
- Picking and choosing elements for your day and hence saving yourself a whole lot of money and time … both of with which you can proceed to spend with your guests having lit toimes.
- How to take the oft used wedding runsheet and burn it like a dirty effigy of Trump. Do your own runsheet. Let it be random. Let it be ad-hoc. Let it be - YOU.
Do YOUR wedding, YOUR way, incorporating elements that YOU think have meaning.
How to dramatically and suggestively pop a bottle of champagne
THE FIRST VLOG
Folks, I've finally come around to making my first video self portrait. You'll mostly see me being goofy in this one.
My aim is produce one video a week on a range of topics ranging from ∆ Things to consider outside of sheer looks when picking your wedding venue
∆ How to pick the photographer and videographer you need. ∆ Selecting a caterer who'll leave you smacking your lips
∆ Writing a winning speech that'll have your guests staying back even after they've had their food
∆ How to impress your guests with a custom cocktail bar - say whaaaa, is this even possible?
∆ Designing the perfect wedding runsheet
If there's anything else you want me to talk about, comment or DM me and I'll be sure to include a segment.
And with that... hit play and watch me try to overcome being camera awkward (is he even a real photographer if he says that!?)

Everything about this wedding was so well curated. Right from the 12,000 flowers at the reception, to the cake, the outfits, the decor at home, it all let us document all the moments of Adrjiana and Noble's wedding with total creative license.
Above all, they gave us plenty of time to make magic during their preparation times and during the location shoot, 2 of the key moments at a wedding when us photographers and videographers can create those money shots y'all love.
So go ahead and watch Adrijana bhangra it like only she can to DJ Vinny (Au)'s tunes

Nav+Devek Highlights

Nav and Devek came to me with a clear vision on how they wanted their wedding video to be. They wanted to make it larger than life, intimate, depict their close ties with their family and friends and above all, mould it in Bollywood fashion.
They'd chosen a different song, but after shooting Nav's mehendi night, I happened to listen to Sajda (from My name is Khan) and right away I knew that this would be the song that'd best personify their wedding. Was I right? I think so. Nav and Devek think so too. Win!

Barkave+Suthan Wedding

First wedding of 2018 was a stunning affair in the hills of Helensburgh and the Wollombi valley in the Hunter region. Barkave and Suthan wanted their all aspects of their wedding to be off the beaten path.
We did their pre-wedding shoot at the The Grounds of the City , their location shoot across Stanwell Park and Seacliff Bridge and their reception at the upcoming Wollombi Barnstay. I was personally gutted at not being able to cover their stunning, boutique outdoor reception at the Hunter but Ramsey and Co. did a great job in capturing the essence of their festivities.
Amazed as always by how much talent Dee brings to the editing desk, let me know if you love it too!

Elissa+Mike Wedding
Sydney Wedding Photo+Cinema | www.stuckinamoment.com.au
Elissa and Mike's wedding was based on the values they hold strongly - unconditional love and family.
They're blessed with 3 beautiful kids in Bailey, Eva and Maya and we're hoping that this video here will be treasured memories of their parents for the 3 of them once they are of age. Dee shed a tear atleast on two occasions whilst filming and editing their video and I was told by Mike that Elissa reacted in the same fashion.

What a monumental time it was last week with over 10 events for Anika and Alvin's wedding!
Close to 50 hour of capturing photos and video and thanks to this wonderfully talented team of mine, we also came up with a same day edit. SIAM wouldn't be the same without the tireless work of my comrades so this is a huge shout out to Raj, Ramsey, Laszlo and Manav.
More shouting out to the other awesome people with work with such as Sana, Payal and Nita, without you, we'd be working tirelessly in photoshop rather than on creating magic in camera.

Shaz and Madz, as I now refer to them, had a fantabulous week of celebrations last week that kicked off with the traditional Fiji Indian wedding events – Tilak, Mehendi, Telwaan and Bhatwaan.
Right from the first event, Shaz’s bridesmaids involved me in all the dancing routines, be it at the telwaan or the bhatwaan. At their reception on the starship boat, I had the best time dancing with their families and friends who we’d had the pleasure of making acquaintance with over the last week. Super happy with their video edit here and do watch it and leave us a comment if you like it!

If there ever was the template for the perfect Indian wedding, this was it. I am going to list it out
1. Lots of time for bridal and groom prep in gorgeous settings. An amazing make up artist to keep everyone in raptures
2. Groom arrival by boat
3. A 30 minute waterfront ceremony
4. A 1hr location shoot post the ceremony set against a gorgeous Sydney sunset
5. ~2hrs of mingling time for the couple with their guests prior to the reception (because of #3!)
6. An elegantly styled reception with plenty of candles, crystals and flowers.
7. Candid, crisp, beautifully worded speeches.
8. A magical bridal waltz.
9. An emotional same day edit played on an awesome projector (yay to the venue!)
10. A turbo charged dance floor thanks to the awesome DJ Vinny (Au)
11. Blazing chemistry betweeen Rani and Aaron
Basically, #everythingwasonfleek at this wedding.
