These two beauties literally made me smile every time we met! Over the year that we worked together creating their perfect day, we laughed and smiled and laughed some more. I was simply honoured to be able to join them together in marriage and wish them a lifetime of happiness together 💖

Picking a theme for your wedding doesn't need to be difficult - keep it simple!
➡️ Think about the personality of you and your partner - What do you both like? What would you like to remember when you look back at photos?
➡️ Choose your theme based on your personality - beachy, elegant, traditional, casual, formal, fantasy, folky, hipster - so many choices but make sure they match YOU!
➡️ Find a supplier - there are so many choices but based on your theme, make sure you find someone who has delivered this well before. Check out their testimonials and photos of weddings they have created to make sure it matches what you have in mind

Looking for your wedding venue? Here are my top 3 tips for chosing the perfect place!
1️⃣Set a budget
Finding the right venue is a lot easier if you have your budget in mind first! Your venue costs for room hire, food and beverage can take up a large amount of your available budget so working on how much you have to spend will help you start looking for a venue that has a price point to suit you
2️⃣Choose a theme
What style you are planning for your wedding day will definitely impact the kind of venue you look for! Try starting with a basic theme concept like beachy, urban, rustic, boho, formal etc. and then use these keywords to search for venues in your area that match that theme. Doing this can help reduce costs by not having to bring in additional theming, lighting or decorations because the venue will more naturally suit the style you want.
3️⃣Decide on your guest numbers
Once you know the number of people you can afford in your budget, you can find a venue with a matching capacity. If you look at a space that is too large it can feel empty and cost more to decorate and theme, but obviously a venue too small may not be able to accommodate your full guest list or may feel cramped.

1️⃣Read their reviews & recommendations
Great results speak for themselves....and so do happy couples! Check your prospective Celebrants website and social media for the testimonials and reviews that they have received from their clients, and do a quick Google search to see where else they are listed and how they have been rated. This way you will know that others like you have received great service.
2️⃣Nail your brief
Before you approach a prospective Celebrant make sure you have a couple of key details first so that you can best match what you want with what they can provide. Basic details like the venue, date and time are key, but so is your wedding theme and style. So if you are looking for a relaxed and casual approach then make sure this is something you try to match with the Celebrants you interview before you make your choice.
3️⃣Match your personality
The old saying "go with your gut" definitely works here! Finding a Celebrant who matches your personality will make for an amazing day because they will be on the same page with you. Consider having a quick Zoom catch up to see and hear from prospective Celebrants to help find someone who 'gets you' and who 'feels right' without having to take hours of interviews and meetings before making your choice.
Being part of anyone's wedding day is an honour but even more special when it is with one of my great friends and the love of their life! We travelled by ferry across the water to a spectacular venue to welcome Jordy & Mitch into their married lives together and these beautiful smiles sum up the day! ❤️

Communication was clear and easy throughout the whole process and she arrived early on the day so there was no stress. Having a harder job than usual with two brides, Louise took the time to check in with both of us, as well as the bridal party and children, to make sure everyone was happy and comfortable and knew where they needed to be. 11 years ago I performed my first wedding as a Marriage Celebrant. It was an honour to be asked to perform the ceremony for one of my closest friends, so it was special for many reasons, not the least being the venue - Peats Bite on the Hawkesbury River. So I was deeply saddened to see the news earlier this year that this iconic and beautiful venue had been destroyed by fire. My thoughts go to the owners and caretakers of this stunning venue with the hope that they will be able to rebuild the place that so many memories have been made ❤️

It was a joy to be part of this beautiful couple's wedding in late 2019, held at the stunning Pasadena Sydney. Little did they or anyone else know the crazy time that we were about to embark on all around the world, but life, just like marriage, is a journey which shifts and changes and it is how we deal with the challenges presented to us that matters. As Mitch and Jordana enter their 2nd year of marriage I want to wish them a lifetime of happiness and remind them that whatever challenges life presents us, it is always better with your best friend walking beside you. It was an honour to be part of this couples' ceremony - wishing Mitch and Jordana a wonderful married life together 💗

The past two years have certainly been challenging for holding weddings in Australia but I'm so excited to see couples finally able to committ to each other in front of family and friends again!
