Thank you to Zing Fresh Catering in Brookvale for involving us in their Winter Wonderland food, arts and community fun event this past weekend. With fresh food from Zing, sourcing from Manly Food Co-operative, spirits from Goodradigbee Distillers, nonalcoholic cocktails from Seadrift Distillery, performers and much much more, it was a very memorable evening and we appreciate being a beneficiary of the event raffle and donations.

What an amazing day of meetings today!! A string of incredible people with remarkably similar values and visions. I feel so lucky to be doing what I love everyday and today especially so! Lovely to be surrounded by such inspiring clients and professional associates who are in turn inspired with zing.

A recent wedding celebration found us creating a menu which saw the fusion of traditional Japanese and Australian flavours. Beetroot bold and brazen kingfish sashimi was served as a substantial dish with edamame, lime, native Geraldton wax & lemon myrtle. Bloody good!

Today’s innovation- puffed rice tostada, wasabi aioli, pickled cucumber & radish, sustainable sashimi tuna, coriander & citrus furikake. Umeboshi and wasabi sesame seed shower on plate. What a mouthful!! Will this latest experiment make it into our menus? What’s Japanese for ‘no brainer’?!

Our recent dessert innovation called ‘Terra Australis’. Lemon Myrtle Cheesecake baked in mini terracotta pots with chocolate and wattle seed soil. This can be enjoyed anytime at your event as part of our ‘Off the Beaten Track’ degustation menu.

Exceptions are our edge and this is proof of how we serve guests with food intolerances like royalty. Their alternatives are served so as to make them feel considered & privileged, rather than as a last minute afterthought. We beautifully cover exceptional servings with a cloche to prevent other guests grabbing before it gets where intended. We’ve got this!

Lemon Myrtle limoncello cream brûlée - 1 of the many courses enjoyed long lunch with Zing last week. It’s super easy to weave their wonderful spirits into our dishes. Both featuring native Australian infusions, it’s perfect pairing.

We love being able to cater events with great initiatives. Last night we provided food relief for super hungry hordes of super teens in our community. hosted its 3rd youth led platform for local young people to directly engage political leaders & youth sector professionals to explore solutions to topical community issues. We feel proud to have a council and community leading the way with such initiative and also privileged to feed such constructive outreach!

Recently we styled a grazing table in the midst of .for.change. In support of , we donated our time and tasty treats; combining them with props throughout the shop. The event raised money for this amazing local charity and store to do their thing- bringing help and hope to those challenged in our community. Proud to be invited to help.

Beetroot hummus canapés tarted up with native kunzea and karkalla grown locally by First Nations social enterprise . Now that’s low food miles with smiles!
