Beautiful Callan Park joyfully hosted the annual event ‘The Spirit of Welcome’ on 16th June! With the warm embrace of the lovely Inner West locals, newly arrived communities joined with them on this sacred green space by the waterfront for a heartwarming celebration of diversity and unity with the wider community!

The air was alive with multicultural dances, astonishing multilingual music, delicious food, inspiring speeches, and conversations in different languages, filling the area in front of our cherished .

People from diverse backgrounds collaborated to this community-led event where everyone celebrated and embraced the spirit of togetherness! People connected, shared joy, inspired one another, and created lasting memories.

Thank you so much for participating and collaborating at the 'Spirit of Welcome' event! Your involvement made it truly special.
And congratulations to all artists, volunteers and event crew!

We are thrilled to share the highlights of our recent International Women's Day event hosted by Hamava Sydney in collaboration with SSI's Community Refugee Welcome Centre. 💫

With the theme of 'Woman, Life, Freedom', the event was a true celebration of empowerment and solidarity. We were honored to welcome over 200 attendees who joined us in appreciating the efforts made to diminish gender inquality over the past year. 🚀

From inspiring musical performances to a thought-provoking speeches, the event was filled with moments of inspiration and celebration. The captivating dance performances, handmade crafts by Iranian women, and delicious Iranian foods and desserts further enriched the experience, supporting women's enterprise in our community. 🎶💃🎨🍽️

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who participated and contributed to making this event a success. Your support and enthusiasm are truly appreciated! 🙌💖

💖🌟🌟🌟💖Today, we had a very informative session organized by Ethnic Community Services Co-operative providing in-language information about NDIS and its services as part of Community Coming Together project for multicultural communities. In addition to have an opportunity to ask questions, participants had so much fun stretching and dancing after the session and shared beautiful time over lunch.

There was also a surprise! 🤩😍🤩A bag full of healthy food!
