A F R O Z I L L U M I N A T E S 🤍🤍🤍
It has been 5 months since she transitioned into the next portion of her eternal life. As most of you know, Afroz is my sister, who passed away this year on 6 January 2022, which was three months following on from her being diagnosed with stage 4 bowel cancer prior to having no symptoms.
This photo of Afroz was taken at her 34th birthday party last year on 13 November 2021. We created a private sit down dinner at home for her, as her diagnosis meant that she was immunocompromised.
This setup, and this evening spent with her is just so close to my heart. We had private chefs cooking and serving delicious meals to us in the very comfort of our home we grew up in. Thinking about Afroz's journey, her bravery, her faith, gives me strength to keep going and to keep living. She was my biggest cheerleader, and I hope that I am able to honour her legacy with a project underway (details to be provided soon).
Her name "Afroz" means to illuminate. She certainly illuminated this world for 34 years, and inshAllah her path to paradise will be just as illuminating as she was.
My heartfelt thank you to my fellow industry friends who made this day possible .couture
