Behind-the-scenes at SailGP Sydney: Despite the glamorous façade of events, there’s a lot of unseen work involved. This is where the crew dines—perhaps not glamorous, but crucial. Providing fresh, healthy, locally sourced food for 400 people is a key part of my work, ensuring they stay energized for weeks on end. Seeing their happy faces and hearing positive feedback from the staff about their meals brings me such immense joy. 🔆

Even with the return of in-person events (and the demand is huge!), virtual events are here to stay. Audiences and event planners alike have found them to be more convenient, more enjoyable, less expensive, and with more engaging content. It wouldn’t have been possible for us to reach an audience of 3,260 across 52 countries if it wasn’t for the power of virtual event.

It has been such an incredible 5 months in the making to bring it to life for the 3-day exhibition at BETT UK at the ExCeL London. To see 23,000 visitors from 152 countries at one event was truly something special.

Corporate Retreats are an increasingly crucial part of any business for developing and/or confirming strategy and culture as well as improving teamwork, cohesiveness and efficiency.
Here are our absolute must-haves to consider when planning for one

1. Select the right destination and venue to suit your brand and to set the tone of the retreat (Location is everything)
2. Set clear objectives, agenda and expectations
3. Invest in a good facilitator
4. Create an environment where people feel safe to speak out and be themselves
5. Add in some downtime for guests to enhance work relationships, get out and see the destination and to stop and refresh
6. Team building doesn’t need to be naff, include an activity that is relevant and in line with the demographics.
7. At the conclusion of the retreat, ensure to summarise discussions and follow up on any key action items.
