Part of my courses is that I take my students out to the flower market on a weekday and Saturday to show them around, connect them with suppliers, teach them how to choose stock, gauge prices and have fun! It’s such a beautiful place to be, we all fall in love with the flower market 🌸

I’m so privileged to have been able to teach such a sweet and wholesome person. Fennie was actually a previous student of mine who attended one of my bouquet workshops last year. She returned to complete the full course to take on floristry in her own business and to also upskill for her work in church arrangements. We worked together on both the full course and also focused on her goals of understanding the basics of design and applying it to her arrangements that she often created at church. We also we through old photos of her previous work and I guided her on what she could improve on. It’s been such a pleasure teaching along side her and seeing her skills improve so quickly! I’m proud, like a daughter who just watched her mum chase her dreams. I can’t wait to see where her journey takes her! A true inspiration to the older generation - proving that age is just a number & you’re never too old to try something new and build your own business 🥰
