2025 we are seeing our first Leather Float as and **rs walking up Oxford Street for this years Mardi Gras.
Liberated in Leather- Free to be uniquely you.

This is same street in the early 90’s I was running up to hide from the military police as a soldier, due to homosexual act that was still enforce. I ran into a place that was then Sax Leather. Women in leather, qu**rs and drag queens stood out the front like a beautiful force, strong, together, ushering away the military police to look out for us.
My love of leather was born, out of solidarity, support, activism and fight. I vouched one day to do the same as these humans did for me.

Behind the scenes with our first leather float of endless overtime, questioning if I can do this, and will it be enough on a small budget. And if I can help women, qu**rs and those with disabilities both seen and unseen, feel safe, supported, colourful and bright with all that’s happening.

In 2025 a leatherwoman has stepped in and said yes you can, don’t you dare stop now!
She’s a former Sydney Leatherwoman title holder 🐝
Even though she’s preparing to head to Darklands overseas herself, she showed up and highlighted the importance of supportive behaviours.

I was given leather mentorship book beautifully written by leatherman .i.am
Not only the book itself is an honour, but it’s personally signed by .i.am himself and was given to me.

Whilst tears dropped from my eyes with the privilege of unwavering support, mentorship, solidarity from these internationally recognised leather humans, I realised the importance of how showing up, giving a fk and real support means and can be.

This book is one I will treasure with all my heart, and everything our leather community stands for.
