Our grounds also include Memory Lane Vintage & Old Wares which will be open part time. Our reception centre, Grand Chameleon, is available 7 days a week for any type of booked receptions. On site café operates for breakfast and lunch Wednesday to Sunday, make a booking to select y

our favourite space. Grand Chameleon hosts special themed events throughout the year, watch this space for information. Call in on weekdays, and take a look around at our fabulous venue, our amazing grounds and our collection of props. Our reception venue managed by the Grand Chameleon, is a short walk past the dove fountain, through the picket gate and down the stepping stones, where more magical spaces and delights can be enjoyed. The Grand Chameleon facility offers a large ballroom seating up to 80 guests comfortably, an elegant Bridal Suite for the ladies, and a Wine Bar for the gents. The outdoor spaces include the Iron Wisteria courtyard for approx 40 guests, and a large undercover verandah. There are a number of intimate external garden spaces that can be booked for your special occasions. We aim to provide high service standards to ensure your reception will be perfect. Our communication standards will ensure that your special event will be as alive, intimate, bespoke or traditional as you desire. The Old Church's journey began as the St Andrew’s Wesleyan Methodist Chapel, a beloved icon in Nerang that has stood the test of time since its construction in 1881, serving as a cornerstone of the community for over a century. 🏛️✨ This remarkable Gothic-style church, initially located on Price Street in Nerang, QLD, found its new home at "Yooroona" on the picturesque intersection of Curtis and Long Roads in February 1993, a property steeped in the legacy of the pioneering Curtis Family. 🏡🌳 The old Queenslander that graces the site bears witness to a rich heritage.

The church's construction tells a story of local craftsmanship, with hard wood and pine pit-sawn timber sourced from Yaun’s sawmill at Nerang. In 1898, the Presbyterian Church took ownership, and by 1977, it became a cherished part of the Uniting Church of Australia. 🛠️🙏 However, by 1981, the chapel ceased to serve as a church, earning the honor of heritage listing. 🌟 Prior to its relocation to the Mountain, the building also served as an office. The condition of preserving its heritage and legacy was non-negotiable when it was sold and moved, ensuring that it would never face demolition.

In 1993, a new chapter began as the chapel witnessed its first wedding ceremony, setting the stage for countless weddings, private functions, funerals, movie sets, and community events. 🎉🎥 It continued to provide the perfect setting, with its historic charm intact, including the original silky oak pulpit, candles, and antique chandelier.
