❤️🍷I was amazed at how this wine from Torbreck had aged when I tasted it in 2020. 30 minutes out of the bottle and the bouquet was still full of berries. Rested for a few hours Star Anise and nearly ripe black cherries shone through. If you ever have the privilege of this wine don't drink it all in the first hour. Enjoy a small glass and then wait in anticipation as its personality grows and changes. Definitely a wine for the bucket list.🍷❤️

A Corsican style light red blend of hand picked Sangiovese, Grenache, Malbec, Sciacarello and Carignan from Clare Valley Vineyards. 100% de-stemmed and no oak contact leaves this wine showing bright red berries and fruits. A light acidity and tannin structure that is worthy of a short time in a wine chiller before enjoying.

Chenin Blanc would have to be one of the most underestimated white varietals. Originating from the Loire Valley Chenin Blanc has flourished throughout South African regions and has also made small appearances in Australia. This Chenin Blanc from Jason Schwarz of Schwarz Wine Company has been a personal favourite since discovering it back in 2016. Partial French oak blended with a stainless tank ferment gives a ripe green apple, lemon and lime zest and hints of under ripe honey dew melon. The latest release '22 also does not disappoint.

👌🍷WINE OF THE WEEK🍷👌
Having one of the last of the 2018 Shiraz from Kaesler Wines gives the feeling of being blessed. This Shiraz comes from vines planted in the personal favourite Sub region of Maranaga. Complimented by vines in the nearby Nuriootpa region. Blackberries, raspberries and a hint of Plum. The slightest hint of spice shows through from the French Oak giving a soft tannin structure. Coupled with a low acid and front to mid palate weight. Although 'The Bogan' is soft and juicy its definitely not a light weight Shiraz, the name says it all. Looking forward to getting a sample of the new release 2020 vintage.

Brothers at War Wines '20 Eden Valley Syrah.
A bright and fragrant Syrah from Eden Valley. Rested on the skins for only 8 days and then pressed into French oak Puncheons where it matured for 15 months. A lifted acidity that compliments the red berries, Violet and Black Cherry. A great example of Syrah showing soft velvety tannins. Perfect for a cold and wet Wednesday night. FIRST DROP - '08 Arneis
The team at First Drop Wines have lived by the name 'Home of the Brave' and challenged traditional vinification methods with this barrel aged Arneis. Pronounced AR-NAY this particular varietal is unaccustomed to oak and First Drop did not disappoint. 8 months in new French Oak and indigenous yeast strains have complimented the wine immaculately. Guava, Stone Fruits and minerality balance well with the structure of oak tannin leaving the palate salivating for more.
