Happy Birthday Civil Celebrants. The Civil Celebrant Program turned 50 on 19 July 2023. Being able to choose the Celebrant, the venue, the inclusions and all aspects of your wedding is something we now take for granted. Attorney General Lionel Murphy took it upon himself to appoint the first celebrant, despite opposition from colleagues and public servants. YAY for Lionel.

Spring is here and things are looking up.

"From 12.01am on Saturday September, regional parts of NSW deemed to be low risk will be allowed up to 50 guests at weddings, with dancing, and eating and drinking while seated." (source NSW Health and The Guardian newspaper online).

Funerals can also have up to 50 people.

Hi everyone, at least some positive news in today's NSW press update. Weddings can start again from next Friday - 3 September - wedding party plus five guests. Give me a call if you would like an intimate wedding, followed by a reaffirmation of vows when you can put together the ceremony of your dreams.
