Wowsers, what a massive market filled weekend! We seen it all from rain, extreme heat and a whole lot of sunshine! Through it all we seen so many beautiful friendly faces who came out to support us small businesses and I cannot thank each and every single one of you enough! To confetti or not to confetti, that’s one of the biggest questions!

We are team confetti, every day of the week! Why you may ask, because you get epic photos like this when you get a photographer like 🙌🏻

Here’s some tips to the ultimate confetti moment!
✨ BIODEGRADABLE is the only way to go! We don’t want to hurt our planet on our special wedding day. We LOVE the use of rose petals but understand some venues don’t allow them. So if this is the case, make sure you choose the biodegradable option!
✨If you’re a guest remember to throw UP and not at the bride and grooms face! Throwing the confetti up means it falls slowly down on top of the wonderful couple and they aren’t aggressively reacting to confetti in the eye!
✨ Ditch the paper cones, they aren’t necessary and only create more waste. Instead choose a nice decorative bowl to sit next to your welcome sign and when the time comes allocate someone to walk around and each guest grabs a handful!
✨ SMILE! This is your moment. No other time in your life do you get all your loved ones looking at you and showering you with handfuls of confetti.

Just have fun with it, and like every moment on your wedding day EMBRACE IT!

Embrace ALL of the emotions on your wedding day! From big smiles that make your cheeks hurt to happy heartfelt tears in the vows! With so many emotions already flowing through you on the lead up to the day, the last thing you need is to be feeling worried about your vendors!
The biggest thing I will continue to say again and again is choose vendors who you know will add something to your day and who you trust completely and most of all who you are so excited to see what they can create!

✨ wedding tip of the week ✨

The best and easiest thing to do when approaching a florist is to choose a style and colour scheme that you love and from there put your TRUST in your florist that they will create something magical for you!

Sandra came to me wanting pastel cottage garden styled blooms for her winter wedding! All her favourite inspiration images were made of springtime and summer blooms. With her full trust and knowing the specific colours she loved I was able to choose flowers that would be available in winter and would bring her pastel garden dreams to life!

It’s important to understand that as florists we unfortunately can’t guarantee specific flowers as we work with nature and as we all know Mother Nature has a mind of her own! However if there is a special flower you just LOVE let us know and we will try our absolute hardest to try and source this for you for your day!

✨ Hi it’s me Ali ✨

Over the last couple of weeks I’ve had quite a few new followers so thought it’s probably about time that I showed my face on here and shared a few little facts about me!

🌼 I have 10 years experience in the wedding industry and still as obsessed with all things flowers and all things love as I was on that very first wedding day.
🌼 I cry watching every wedding video I see 😂 especially those of my wonderful couples!
🌼 If you ask me what my favourite flower is, I change on the daily.
🌼When I’m not flowering I’m spending time with my partner Tyler, Great Dane fur baby Kanye and our newborn Mckenzie.

Speaking of Kenzie girl, she is the reason I’m slow on replies at the moment whilst I try and soak up all the newborn cuddles while I can! But be assured I am so dedicated to your wedding day and LOVE hearing from you and talking wedding plans! Things are a little bit slower around here as our beautiful little new florist in the making has joined us earth side! ✨Haylee and Kurtis✨
What a whirlwind the last couple of weeks have been over here at The Flower Alley, with a highlight being able to flower up the beautiful wedding of my dear friends Haylee and Kurtis at ✨ We also found out that we were awarded top 10 in the Australian Industry Awards, to which I can’t thank all of my past couples enough for the support! We are slowly finishing up weddings for the next couple of months while we sit not so patiently waiting for our newest member to arrive and join the team! Things may have been a little bit quieter on socials over the last few months! Not only have I been busy creating your wedding floral dreams, prepping for all the Christmas markets, hosting workshops, and discussing all things floral with you for your future weddings, I have also been baking a new florist apprentice in the making!
I just wanted to take the time to say a HUGE THANKYOU to everyone who has been incredibly patient with me and waited a little bit longer for a reply! I promise you I see you and I will be trying my hardest to get on top of my emails over the next week! But for now it’s time to put these feet up after a big day flowering for my beautiful couple Remy and Steele (flowering 30 weeks pregnant in summer is a WHOLE new ball game 😂). Ali and bubs x
