This room is known as “The Theatre” and needed to be made more intimate. The ceiling is imposing but very high. ⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣

A KL Helipad Bar. A relaxing vibe on the 34th floor. It’s hot and windless.⁣

Even a Wedding DJ has to have some time out. This was a year ago on my way to Guangzhou China.⁣
⁣
Heli lounge bar is circular and the only thing between you and the footpath 34 floors below is a rope post. ⁣
⁣
A rope post is the 50cm wide strip like safety belt material stretched between silver posts. ⁣
⁣
We see them when we wait in line, like say the movies or somewhere where… you wait in line.⁣
⁣
We are talking no safety harness/net, nothing. Feel free to walk off the edge anytime 😂⁣. Excellent view.

WOW! Engagement is what I’m about as a Wedding Host and DJ. It’s missing at most wedding receptions. ⁣

You are visually engaged first up by what you see. Hence this dessert bar picture. ⁣

It looks fantastic and with few exceptions who doesn't like a sweet hit. ⁣

Rick and Brett did this dessert bar at their celebration. They created an amazing event. They're amazing people. Good on them.⁣

My job is to engage you from the moment the couple walks in, to the moment they leave.⁣

Most wedding Receptions have speeches. These contain some stories. Almost no one has their stories told unless you come to me. ⁣

This is all very gonzo but is true for any kind of real progress.⁣

We can have an event like most others. Creating any event takes work but it is very straight forward.⁣

We can seek out talent that can take us beyond our expectations. Now this is my focus. To exceed expectations. To help others to know what they do not know. ⁣

To have something great, the focus has to be on this desire. ⁣
⁣
Why throw the biggest party of our lives to have it be like every other.⁣
⁣
I quoted elsewhere a figure; 63%* of respondents did not remember what they ate at the wedding reception they attended, but they do remember the entertainment.⁣

Suggestion. If your service is off site. IE. It’s different to where you are having your wedding reception. You can have more time taking photo’s if you have the service earlier. ⁣

Scout out a hotel or a bar, at which guests can gather ahead of turning up early at the reception facility. ⁣

You get more time for photo’s the guests are not turning up early and hanging at your reception center. Everyone wins. ⁣

If you immediately engage and interact with your guests, with your grand entrance through having your wedding parties stories told. ⁣

Provide brief and yet fun engagement through dinner. ⁣
⁣
Have your “Love Story” told before you dance, you will win your friends hearts and they will thank you deeply.⁣

You also will be moved by the connection and bonding you feel and receive.⁣
⁣
When the dancing starts, your guests are warmed to you, themselves, the event.⁣

You will have created by this process, a fantastic, one of a kind, memorable event that your guests will be deeply grateful to have attended. ⁣

ME TOO! I also want to contribute to these traits as well. I want to make the wold nicer, and today, now, as tomorrow never comes.

This moment, now is where life is located. Life is right here right now to add more compassion, joy and laughter.

We let go of yesterday, an hour ago ten minutes ago. We can make a choice right now, as to how things will go from this moment. Even if I am at some difficult point. We remind ourselves that, we put in the action and let go of the outcome! This leads to peace :)

I bring this to my work as a Wedding DJ/MC and I bring it to my personal life. This approach of letting go of past hurts and wounds whatever they may be, and not worrying about tomorrow makes us present now. As my lovely mum Kay, would often say as above tomorrow never comes :)

Being present to someone is a great gift I can bring to them.

This Picture Makes me laugh.

A Wedding Parties grand Entrance can change the event!
You can and should start the laughter at your wedding reception from the very moment you walk through the door during your grand entrance.
The couple that brings a smile and a laugh right from the start of their introductions win friends by the hectare.

What works for me in spades is telling the wedding party, your wedding parties, “Life Story” in a minute or less each person. It's a hoot! Who does that? No one except you, because you are here. One wedding party member, two wedding party members, eight wedding party members, pile them on, the more, the merrier.

You can create a fantastic moment by telling your bridal party’s life stories, with music and soundscapes. You can do this, or a DJ with skills can do it for you. And as I have said, this is right at the start of your event as a part of your grand entrance. You set the tone of your reception right from this moment. It is a killer move, and you will be the only one doing this because you are here reading this idea on this post. Tell your guests who your wedding party are, what they do, and importantly how they are human. Some are over shoppers, others are drinkers, some are organisers, Some are thinkers, some love their dogs more than humans. Appropriately told and briefly, this is fun and funny. We all know those little traits of our friends. Amongst friends, we can smile and laugh.
