We are expecting a bumper season for Summer Touch. Unfortunately last year we had to turn teams away so get in quick to secure your spot in our comp. Please note that teams will need a minimum of 8 registered players before they can be included in the draw. So start organising your mates so that you’re ready for the first game in week 1 of term 4.

⚽️🏏FUNDING HELPS LOCAL SPORT STAY IN THE GAME⛵️💵

Coffs Coast sports clubs have received funding for new equipment, programs and facilities to get more people involved in sport under the NSW Government’s Local Sport Grant Program.

Seven sports clubs were among 836 sporting organisations across NSW to share in $3.9 million funding through this program.

A total of $50,000 was awarded across our local community for the following projects:

✅Diggers Cricket Club – increase junior female participation by reducing costs
✅Coffs Harbour Yacht Club – Learn to Sail program
✅Souths Netball Club – introduction of inclusive uniforms
✅Corindi Pony Club – purchase of equipment to promote better access to sporting programs
✅Coffs Coast Outrigger Canoe Club – purchase of safety items to enable increased participation
✅Northern Storm Football and Sports Club – new goalposts for Korora
✅Coffs Harbour Crusaders Junior Rugby Union Club – all abilities access and seating.

Sport is a way of life on the Coffs Coast. These grants provide essential funds to clubs for programs, equipment and facilities that will enable more people of all ages and abilities to participate in sport.

Grants up to $20,000 were available under the program with up to $50,000 available in each electorate.

Thanks to Spence Electrical and Coastal Works for giving us a hand to inspect the field lights after the hail storm. They took a fair hammering even spun one around.

MEN’S & WOMEN’S SUMMER COMPETITION 2021/22

First trial game is this Monday 25th October!

All team managers have been sent important information regarding the competition, please ensure that your team manager has informed you of the requirements regarding the competition, in particular the information regarding the current Public Health Orders that are in place. All players, officials and spectators over the age of 16 must be fully vaccinated or have a medical exemption to enter the fields and must sign in using the QR check-in code provided.

Player registration and payments can be done via our website at coffsharbour.nswtouch.com.au. The $100 early bird registration offer ends Friday 29th October, registrations after this date will be $110 per player.

Please note that the draw is subject to change, we will notify team managers via email if this is the case. Looking forward to seeing you all back at the fields on Monday!

We said we would announce it in a few days but we couldn’t keep this in for much longer!!

Our 2022 coach is none other than Clint Greenshields!
After growing up in Sawtell and playing his juniors for the Panthers, Clint went on to bigger and better things to play NRL for the StGeorge Illawarra Dragons and North Queensland Cowboys. Clint also spent a number of years over in France playing for Catalans Dragons in the Super League.

Clint will bring a lot of experience and knowledge to the club that we are all so excited to see bring success to Sawtell and help make us a force in Group 2 once again!!

Make Clint welcome back home at Rex Hardaker Oval and get strapped in for a huge season in 2022!

We will keep you all posted on when pre season kicks off!!
