I was listening today in the car to a podcast, The Imperfects around the concept of Other People Matter and to me, these flowers I created this week epitomise this idea. The client requested an arrangement to express their heartfelt thanks to their local vet for the attention and kindness they had given to a special canine member of the family in its last days. Did they have to do this you might ask? Maybe not, but in the family’s mind they did because at the heart of it, Other people do matter, in all kinds of areas of our lives and giving flowers is just one way of expressing appreciation and acknowledgement of that! Who would you send flowers to who matters to you?

Day3/100 lantern We had the most wonderful time in Venice a couple of years ago and this beautiful coloured glass lantern was overhanging the canal - hard to do justice to the reality, as I find Venice a really beautiful, romantic place, with so many pieces of exquisite craftsmanship, tucked around in little backstreets along canals over the bridges,! The Renaissance. Was amazing for the artisan in the Venetian area. Itsuch fun to ride the water taxis around the canals. We had a glorious little B&B right on the canal with its own jetty, so we did enjoy getting our taxi from there and home again, quite extravagant, but really lovely memories!

Well not sure what I have got myself in for, but decided to do this 100daysofwonderchallenge2024 of little paintings - not normally into watercolour but here we go. Theme word was forest and this reminds me of when we were in the UK in the Woodlands, a couple of years ago, and the bluebells were absolutely divine under the trees. Such a beautiful memory!
