After four years delivering the Toowoomba Conferences portfolio, the time has come for the Toowoomba Chamber of Commerce to pass the baton on as this returns to the Toowoomba Regional Council stable to be managed by the Tourism & Events department.

The Toowoomba Conferences team and the Toowoomba Chamber have loved working with local suppliers and conference organisers over the past few years as we believe there is so much to offer event planners in the region.

Over the next month, you will likely see some changes on these social channels and the website as contact information is updated and this changeover is undertaken.

On behalf of the Toowoomba Chamber, thank you for a memorable four years and we look forward to seeing how this portfolio continues to evolve and grow.

The Toowoomba Conferences team has successfully secured two new conferences for the region, with an expected $450,000 to be injected into the local economy over the next eight-months.

With an anticipated combined attendance of more than 450 people over the two events, this is an outstanding achievement for the Toowoomba Chamber of Commerce, who has delivered this portfolio for Toowoomba Regional Council for the past four years.

The Toowoomba Conferences team recently produced a new two-page brochure promoting the region as a business events destination to provide event planners and conference organisers with a better understanding about the opportunities available across the the region.

Congratulations to the team from Gather & Graze for yet another amazing event held last week! Raising much needed funds for local charity Tony’s Community Kitchen, the gala looked absolutely stunning set up on the grounds of the Toowoomba Grammar School.

A wonderful showcase of fabulous suppliers supported the event including the Dairy Hiring Shed and Harolds Finishing Touches for the spectacular styling!

Congratulations to the Curve-Ball team on a wonderful event held a couple of weeks ago at the Railway Goods Shed (Toowoomba Region Community Venues). This gala event raised a whopping $130,000 for charity and made it the biggest Curve Ball event yet.

What a wonderful showcase with hundreds of attendees enjoying the evening thanks to the numerous local businesses engaged for the events as suppliers and sponsors.

This wonderful event celebrates the best of business across the Toowoomba region and is a fantastic showcase of the array of industries and services, as well as stunning showcase of the gala events that can be conducted on the city.

Congratulations to Wagner Corporation on the development of its new state-of-the-art bulk grain storage facility at Wellcamp Business Park. This marks another great infrastructure project delivered for the region as this facility enhances the region's capabilities in accumulation of grains for export, and we look forward to hearing about further updates on the site from lessee .

With agribusiness one of the region's most prominent industries, it's wonderful to witness innovation such as this, that ensures this sector and the Darling Downs continues to be at the forefront of industry development.
