Thank you so much for all the support and messages after our announcement that we are moving out of the station, it is very much appreciated and we have enjoyed our time there and look forward to others creating something new in the historic surrounds.
Plans are underway for our next venture and we look forward to sharing this with you soon.
Cleaning up today at the station we found this old sign and think it sums up Toowoomba well.

‘All aboard!’ says the Fat Controller, as we are packing up and moving out…
After seven years at the Toowoomba railway station we have decided it’s time for a new destination and have chosen not to renew our lease.
We feel proud and honoured to have contributed a small part to the history of the station and enjoyed creating and being part of so many functions and events… especially the good times with dinners on the platform, around the fireplace, and the more recent movie nights.
With a major derailment in 2020, getting back up to steam in 2021, and further derailment after the borders which had been slammed shut, then came crashing down in 2022, we, as a hospitality function venue, have been hit hard by Covid. Consequently basic business sense needs to be addressed.
We are looking forward to delivering a quality experience to our pre booked weddings, functions and events at Encores restaurant, and are incredibly grateful for their flexibility and understanding.
As for a new destination in the winds, think a heritage precinct offering smaller bespoke functions, private dinners , corporate events (and everything in between) with catering by the Encores restaurant team. Stay tuned for updates

Our cellar seem to save the day as it worked perfectly as a drain!!

Just a little update but unfortunately we have to cancel our upcoming movie nights indefinitely due to not being able to meet Covid compliance.
We are working on other events once we get a clearer picture of the current situation.

A little update!!!
As our functions and events side of our business are getting back to normality we have decided to hold off offering our a la carte casual dining option due to the many bookings for end of year functions and Christmas parties 🎉.
