🤍 Phyllis' loving family celebrated her life by scattering her ashes and a heartfelt dove release by the beach this morning.

🤍 7 white doves were released with love to signify Phyllis' 7 adored children

🤍 Her beautiful Granddaughters released the doves to the heavens on behalf of the family

🤍 The white dove release signifies 𝓅𝑒𝒶𝒸𝑒, 𝓁𝑜𝓋𝑒, 𝒻𝒶𝒾𝓉𝒽, 𝒽𝑜𝓅𝑒 𝒶𝓃𝒹 𝒻𝓇𝑒𝑒𝒹𝑜𝓂. The release at the end of the service offers a soothing touch in a time of sadness and sorrow

🕊 White Dove or pigeon nerds have studied how the homing instinct works 🕊

✨ Homing pigeons use magnetoreception, a phenomenon where they connect with the Earth's magnetic fields for navigation✨

🧲 Studies have revealed that homing pigeons possess heightened concentrations of iron particles in their beaks, which aids their ability to detect the magnetic fields within the Earths sphere

🧭 Other recent research indicates that homing pigeons may also use low-frequency infrasound to navigate their way back to the loft

🌏 The Earth emits sounds at a low-frequency from everywhere - such as the ocean and the Earths crust and the birds use this to locate their home loft

June 2nd, 1973: Led Zeppelin’s performance at Kezar Stadium in San Francisco — “There were two cages behind the amps on stage, each containing six white doves […] Robert Plant’s a real hippy at heart, so the idea was that at the end of Stairway to Heaven, we’d release the doves and they’d fly off into the air as a homage to peace and love. But when the cages opened, the birds flew out and one did a low pass over the audience, then must have taken too deep a breath of the San Francisco air – remember, this was 1973 and there was a high chance of being dosed by some deadhead. Anyway, it turned back to the stage and Robert stuck out his hand. The dove landed on it, purely by chance – this was not a trained bird. It was there for about five seconds.”
