Just a beautiful and intimate ceremony at the Garabarra Lawn, in the Jezzine Barracks precinct. Jessica and Daniel are from Melbourne and decided to elope to Townsville. They simply could not believe how warm and stunning the weather was in this beautiful city - the couple certainly made the most of it!!

Their story was quite a while in the making, ever since they met, all those years ago, in Kalgoorlie, Western Australia. Their little girl was very much an integral part of the ceremony.

Dear Jess and Dan, I wish you nothing but the very best for this next chapter in your life story ...

Just a beautiful ceremony, over 20 years in the making.

The couple met in 2003, got engaged in 2013 and, finally, tied the knot in front of their family and friends in 2024. You simply cannot hurry those things.

The venue was my favourite park, Anderson Gardens. The mood was emotional to say the least.

Happy forever after to Anthony and Ana ...

Jess and Nick tied the knot on the beautiful property of Jess's parents, on the banks of the mighty Burdekin River (albeit somewhat dry at the moment). The rain threatened but stayed away long enough for them to exchange vows. Light breezes cooled the warm day.

All the best to the newlyweds and happiness always ...

I have been remiss in showcasing my marriages for the past months. This will be remedied straight away, from latest to when I last posted - watch this space πŸ˜ƒ

This ceremony was one that meant a lot to me, as it was in 2 languages, English and French, with the groom being a dinky-di Aussie, and the bride, as well as quite a few members of the congregation, being French or French Canadian - and they met in Norway, of all places!

As some spoke and understood French only, my bi-lingual skills were put to good use. The music also reflected this, with some traditional French love songs amongst the mix ...

All the flowers for the day were grown by the groom's mother, with sunflowers being at the forefront. The setting was the beautiful property of the groom's family, set amongst the canefields of the Burdekin

Happiness always to Paul and Marine, and God Bless.

FUNERAL?
Need Help with the Eulogy?
For more information, please visit ...

My name is RomΓ©e. I am a very experienced Funeral Celebrant with over 300 services under my belt. Unlike most celebrants, I offer to write the Eulogy on behalf of the bereaved family and, to date, 95% of them have taken me up on the offer. All the funerals that I have officiated at have had wonderful and positive feedback.

My Eulogies are all unique, carefully crafted and beautifully written to celebrate the life of your missed loved one; I am so grateful that families trust me enough to share their special memories – without your valuable input, I am unable to do what I do. I am flexible and can meet with you at your home or another mutually convenient location; together, we shall go through all aspects of the service. The Eulogies can be delivered by a trusted family member/friend, or I can do so on your behalf.

As a funeral celebrant, my fee is very competitive, with the added bonus of a unique, meaningful and personalised Eulogy and NO GST … all you need to do, when you meet with the Funeral Director, is to mention that you would like me as your celebrant – they simply cannot refuse ...

Gail and George have been together for a long time before finally deciding to take the plunge ... you cannot hurry those things!!!!

They were surrounded by family and loved ones, with the intimate ceremony taking place in their beautiful home.

I wish the newlyweds nothing but the very best ❀️

It has been a while since I posted anything on my Butterfly Moments FB page. I have been sooooo busy that I have not showcased any of my marriages since the end of 2021 and for the whole of 2022 and 2023.

As such, I shall start with my latest one and work backwards. This ceremony was long overdue, held at Anzac Park, under beautifully shady trees. It was somewhat blowy, but the winds did not detract from the emotions of the day.

And what about when the groom made heartfelt promises to his new daughter; there was not a dry eye in the gathering...

Dear Glen and Kerri, I wish you, and your family, nothing but the very best for the future.

Finally, as promised, for the next few weeks I shall be showcasing some of my ceremonies for 2021 which I have failed to post up to now ... 2021 has been my busiest year ever and I simply ran out of time.

James and Alex had an intimate ceremony at Anderson Gardens (did I mention that this was my favourite park???) with only their closest and dearest, as well as their fur baby, in attendance. I wish nothing but the very best to this loved-up couple ❀

I wish all my couples, and those who have taken the time to follow my journey, a very merry and safe Christmas.

Tami and Jono were married at the Mercure Inn, with their loved ones around them. It was a beautiful and warm day, like most days here in North Queensland, and I fell in love with the simplicity of the bride's gown ... all the best to this loved up pair ❀

Hamish and Keara just wanted to get married. They chose their backyard as the venue for their ceremony and exchanged their vows in front of the bride's parents, who were also the witnesses. Their 2 children just kept on playing in the background, oblivious to what was happening. It was a laid back ceremony, but still beautifully emotional ...
