A rainy Pallarenda Beach did nothing to dampen the emotions of Eze and Sheree's ceremony. OK, we did have to move under cover as drops started falling just as we started ...

The bride's gown was a traditional Nigerian one, and absolutely stunning. I have to add, at this stage, that Eze, the groom, is from Nigeria.

The ceremony was so emotional, especially when the couple exchanged their vows. It was a small, intimate gathering, but there was not a dry eye ...

Tafatolu (Tolu, for short) is from Tokelau, a small atoll about 3 days by boat from New Zealand. Jodie is a dinky-di Aussie.

Ever since they met, they have not looked back. 3 children, a dog and a pet pig later, they tied the knot on their property in Black River. There were traditional elements in the ceremony; there were lots of traditional Tokelauan cooking, including a pig on the spit (thank God, not their pet!!!), with wonderful smells throughout ...

The couple's children had an integral part in the ceremony and there was not a dry eye in the congregation.

Happiness always Tolu and Jodie ... God bless.

Nicky and Kelly first met in 1994 at Trinity Bay State High School in Cairns and, as life took over, they lost touch. Thanks to Kelly’s cousin, they were encouraged to reconnect.

They were both restarting on a new path and wondering what life had in store for them and, as they got to know each other better, their initial friendship grew beyond its confines and evolved into something more; from that moment in time, they have not looked back.

They both chose to be a good person, fully aware that, for that right person, they will always be good enough. With this ceremony, held in Bushland Beach, surrounded by their family and close ones, they came full circle.

Again, due to work commitments, I have not showcased my past ceremonies. I will make sure to remedy this oversight ASAP, starting with a match made in Heaven, which took place on our magnificent Strand, between Blake and Lea. The emotions of the day were palpable, and everyone present shed a tear when the newlyweds exchanged their vows ...

To all the wonderful couples whom I had the privilege of marrying in 2024, I wish you nothing but the very best for the festive season.

Have a merry Christmas and God bless, always.

For my last ceremony of 2024, Jeffrey and Lisa were kind enough to wait until I came back from holidays to get the legalities organised.

It was an intimate one, as they only had their 2 witnesses and their 4 beautifully behaved little dogs in attendance, with a family get together planned for a week later to not only celebrate their nuptials but the festive season as well.

This love story was a few years in the making but still wonderfully meaningful. All the best to the married couple 😊

Childhood sweethearts, Toby and Zoe, celebrated their big day on grandpa’s property in Abergowrie, surrounded by cane fields and organic veggie patches ... The rain threatened but stayed away during the ceremony. It was truly special, with their fur baby, Marley, given the honour of being the ring bearer.

Happy forever after to the newly weds 😊

Kieren and Colston made the decision to come all the way from Perth to Kieren's hometown of Townsville to get married. They were such a laid-back and lovely couple, who, with their 2 boys and, in front of their loved ones, exchanged heartfelt vows at Anderson Gardens.

Congratulations to the newlyweds as they embark on this new chapter in their life story 😀

Just a beautiful and intimate ceremony at the Garabarra Lawn, in the Jezzine Barracks precinct. Jessica and Daniel are from Melbourne and decided to elope to Townsville. They simply could not believe how warm and stunning the weather was in this beautiful city - the couple certainly made the most of it!!

Their story was quite a while in the making, ever since they met, all those years ago, in Kalgoorlie, Western Australia. Their little girl was very much an integral part of the ceremony.

Dear Jess and Dan, I wish you nothing but the very best for this next chapter in your life story ...

Just a beautiful ceremony, over 20 years in the making.

The couple met in 2003, got engaged in 2013 and, finally, tied the knot in front of their family and friends in 2024. You simply cannot hurry those things.

The venue was my favourite park, Anderson Gardens. The mood was emotional to say the least.

Happy forever after to Anthony and Ana ...

Jess and Nick tied the knot on the beautiful property of Jess's parents, on the banks of the mighty Burdekin River (albeit somewhat dry at the moment). The rain threatened but stayed away long enough for them to exchange vows. Light breezes cooled the warm day.

All the best to the newlyweds and happiness always ...

I have been remiss in showcasing my marriages for the past months. This will be remedied straight away, from latest to when I last posted - watch this space 😃

This ceremony was one that meant a lot to me, as it was in 2 languages, English and French, with the groom being a dinky-di Aussie, and the bride, as well as quite a few members of the congregation, being French or French Canadian - and they met in Norway, of all places!

As some spoke and understood French only, my bi-lingual skills were put to good use. The music also reflected this, with some traditional French love songs amongst the mix ...

All the flowers for the day were grown by the groom's mother, with sunflowers being at the forefront. The setting was the beautiful property of the groom's family, set amongst the canefields of the Burdekin

Happiness always to Paul and Marine, and God Bless.

Need Help with the Eulogy?

www.butterflymoments.net.au/funerals-and-eulogies

My name is Romée. I am a very experienced Funeral Celebrant with over 300 services under my belt. Unlike most celebrants, I offer to write the Eulogy on behalf of the bereaved family and, to date, 95% of them have taken me up on the offer. All the funerals that I have officiated at have had wonderful and positive feedback.

My Eulogies are all unique, carefully crafted and beautifully written to celebrate the life of your missed loved one; I am so grateful that families trust me enough to share their special memories – without your valuable input, I am unable to do what I do. I am flexible and can meet with you at your home or another mutually convenient location; together, we shall go through all aspects of the service. The Eulogies can be delivered by a trusted family member/friend, or I can do so on your behalf.

As a funeral celebrant, my fee is very competitive, with the added bonus of a unique, meaningful and personalised Eulogy and NO GST … all you need to do, when you meet with the Funeral Director, is to mention that you would like me as your celebrant – they simply cannot refuse ...
