|The little things| This lovely photo was taken by a guest at Kate & Daniel’s wedding yesterday, it reminded me of all the extra things I do at a wedding;
From helping the groom/groomsmen with their buttonhole flowers, adjusting the brides dress for photos, having a collection of pens for the certificate signing, assisting with wardrobe malfunctions, assisting with decorating malfunctions and clearing seaweed, sticks or rubbish from the ceremony location. For me it’s all about a perfect marriage ceremony experience for my couples and guests.

| TODAYS WEDDING | A gorgeous day for Kate & Daniel’s (peachy) wedding, today is their 10 year anniversary of being in love. Living in New Zealand together with their gorgeous boys, they decided to get married on Magnetic Island where Kate spent her later childhood/ teenage years. What a beautiful afternoon it was with their family & friends from Australia and New Zealand.

| Family weddings | These lovely photos are from our trip to Wollongong a few days ago, for my hubby’s son, Mathew’s wedding. Mathew & Toni have a lovely fur baby who was a part of their wedding ceremony, he was so adorable and we thought, so proud of his Mum & Dad. A shout out to located in NSW, who took care of their fur baby throughout the day and especially the ceremony.

Are you a little nervous or anxious about being in front of your wedding guests?
I have some great ideas that I’ve helped other wedding couples handle their nerves & anxiety.
For example…
Who you face during the ceremony? Instead of facing your guests during the ceremony you can face each other or even just face me like you’ve seen in the old movies.
Nervous about saying your vows? You know you can keep it simple and just say the one sentence of legal vows, I can print on a card for you or I can say and you can repeat.

| TODAY | We explored the beautiful Queens Gardens it’s Townsville’s oldest botanical garden. Initiated in 1870 covering 4 Hectares, it has an aviary, rose gardens, succulent garden, palm lawn and so much more. A great place for a wedding, I’m looking forward to my future booked weddings there, so many beautiful photo opportunities.

I think about how they will sound, does it reflect the couple I’m writing if for? Then I practice the ceremony out loud, to make sure of my pronunciation. I first started as a celebrant in 2010 but let me go back a little to explain how it all began. A few years before my daughter Chloe was researching for her wedding her & I were at a Wedding expo in Sydney. As we were wandering around, we were talking about her wedding & my love for weddings, we saw celebrants and she said, “Mum you could so do that job & you’d be good at it” That’s where the idea began...
Since 2010, on the NSW South Coast, I have experienced a lot of different weddings and I’ve learned how to assist couples in the best way I can. To be involved in such a momentous day in someone’s lives is so exciting for me, the romance, the commitment to the future, the smiles.
Oh, it’s so wonderful when I meet couples and they talk about their plans, the smiles are wonderful. Then their wedding day, I feel so privileged to be there with them as they promise their love, commitment, and friendship for the future. I have recently moved to Townsville, QLD.
