We've got an amazing lineup of 8 races, kicking off at 1:10 pm. The highlight, the bet365 Traralgon Cup race 6, is set for 4:10 pm, and the action continues until the last race at 5:25 pm!

Gates open at 11.30am, General Admission tickets are free!

Hold your Horses Racegoers – Bet365 Traralgon Cup has been rescheduled !

If you’re in Gippsland, you know that we’ve experienced unprecedented rainfall for this time of year and the track has received over 50mm of rain this week and an additional 30mm expected over the weekend with RV Stewards deeming it unsuitable for this weekends racing.

BUT, We're thrilled to announce that Racing Victoria have granted us a change in dates rather than cancel the event altogether.

The new date for the Bet365 Traralgon Cup – Sunday, December 10th and we're excited to see you all there!

For those of you who have already purchased tickets and packages, don't worry – they will be automatically transferred to the new date. AND we appreciate your support of the club and all the hard work that the volunteer committee do to bring you this premier race day.

While we understand there may be some disappointment regarding the rescheduling, we want to emphasize that this change is for the best, ensuring the full running of the days race events and the safety of the jockeys and horses.

The weather forecast for next week is looking much better, and the track will improve significantly.


If you find that you cannot attend the rescheduled date, please feel free to request a refund by emailing [email protected] or calling 1300 139 402. Your satisfaction is important to us, and we want to accommodate your needs.

So, mark your calendars for Sunday, December 10th, and get ready for an exciting day at the Bet365 Traralgon Cup.

🏆 Last year, the chairman of Latrobe Valley Racing Club, Frank Bezzina, stumbled upon a hidden gem—the Traralgon Cup 1930 Trophy. Thanks to a kind soul who found the missing Trophy which is actually a cutlery set, it was confirmed as the real deal awarded to Sam Phillips!
Fast forward 92 years to last year, 2022, and the trophy is back home at the Latrobe Valley Racing Club, adding a touch of history to our collection.

Racing Victoria (RV) wishes to advise that the Traralgon meeting scheduled for this Saturday, 4 November has been transferred to Sportsbet Pakenham.

RV Stewards and jockeys inspected the Traralgon track this morning (Wednesday, 1 November) and determined the surface was unsuitable for racing due to bare patches at the 1400m and 900m marks.

All online bookings will be refunded via Country Racing Victoria (CRV).

Great catching up with this legend today, Wiston Xuereb, ex Gippsland jockey.

Winston has fond memories of the Traralgon track. His last race that he road at Glenview Park was a winner for the Gelagotis boys on Lesvos Ruler in 2000.

Winston paid us a visit here today helping us prepare for next week’s Morwell Bowling Club Derby Day meet. His cleaning service is second to none.

Great to catch up my friend. A true gentleman.

Exciting news from Latrobe Valley Racing Club! 🏇 Thanks to the new Traralgon Greyhound Track, they've just completed an awesome upgrade. 🎉

They teamed up with Greyhound Racing Victoria to build a viewing mound for better horseracing views at Glenview Park. 🌟

With additional funding from Racing Victoria it made it possible to also include extra power outlets for future events and evening lighting for better visibility.

The LVRC has been on a roll with various improvements over the past two years.

Now, all jockeys and stewards rooms have climate control, and there are upgrades happening all over the club, including the stable, winners room, and more! 🏟

They've also gone digital for smoother race day operations and compatibility with industry equipment. 📺

Kudos to the dedicated volunteers who make all this possible and also the great support from Racing Victoria ! 🙌
