PSA: monthly vintage & pre-loved drops are re-emerging into this space friends, starting next Monday night, 7pm.

I’m so excited to continue this project & embrace a burning passion of mine ~ getting dressed!

This collection will be celebrating all the hues of BROWN with sizes ranging from 8-18

My intention with each vintage and preloved clothing drop is to create a space for women, particularly mothers, to rediscover the joy and ritual in dressing.

These pieces are carefully chosen to help ignite self-love and reconnect with the magic of adornment. Each item holds a story, inviting you to add your own and to honour your unique expressionism.

Honestly,

I’m not sure where I’m at with my business at the moment.
Over ten years of flowering has passed…

I have days where I want to put it to rest; let it go completely. I have other days where I want to morph it into something else (I never intended on doing weddings when I started floristry! I actually wanted to do flower sculpture)
And then I have days where I am totally attached and the fire returns to keep going!
Keep marketing, keep grinding; stay on the hamster wheel, keep being relevant, on trend, post on Insta, etc.

A lot has happened lately, besides becoming a mother of two.
I closed my shop, returned to running the business solo + decided to ‘homeschool’ my daughter.

I’ve updated my bio to say this is my last year of wedding work.

It’s scary

But I’m hoping by telling the universe it’s time, the cosmos will allow success in other ways.

I LOVE sharing what I know about working with flowers. A few weeks ago I was brave enough to film some bts of flower prep at home and I had so many people into it!
I feel vulnerable showing up on here, honestly, I feel old! Ha.
But I do have a lot of knowledge and people love the gypsy style…
I’m wondering - should this be my new thing?! And if so, how the bloody hell do I do it?

I’d love for you to comment if you’re keen or have any tips for how to start ✨

I started floristry straight out of high school.
I remember thinking…what’s a cool job?…geez how amazing would working in a flower shop be!
I had no previous exposure to the industry; only a deep love for nature, collecting shells and sticks and seed pods - forever collecting flowers from the garden as a kid. I even use to door knock selling my little posies (the freedom!).
I remember borrowing a beautiful flower dress from my mums wardrobe and taking myself to the local flower shops to present my resume and ask for work.
I pretty well got a job on the spot, but was told the flower dress wasn’t ideal attire. Ha.
And so there I begun.
At one of the longest family run florists on the south coast. It was old school.
I bleached buckets, swept floors, answered calls, sorted the back room, processed the market runs for years…on and off as I rambled and partied as a young person does.
I was paid in a yellow envelope.
The flowers stained my heart and over the years, they have taught me so much.
I’m doing the final handover of my second shop today.
Change, always. Rolling with it. A new season x

I feel I’m being gently called to something else; a new creative channel ~ but foggy around what it is ✨
This postpartum period has been so blissful - it’s waking something else in me
A slow slow unfurling of something new
A mystery to me for now
The flowers always call and to the couples I have the honour of working with this year - I am soaking you all in and committed with full intensity to your day of love 🥀

Quick update for anyone who missed it ✨
The Gypsy store in Ulladulla is closed permanently
We’ve updated our offerings and no longer operating as retail - unfortunately no gift bouquets etc.
We are still tinkering away at our wedding work, although spaces for ‘23 are very limited
We are working on releasing our style items for dry hire too which will be an easy way to embellish your day with some Gypsy style x
