Happy Mothers Day to all the mums out there!!

A special thought goes to our mums, thank you for the love and support in everything we do. We dont get to see you both as much as we would like due to owning a business like ours but know you are always on our minds.
But the biggest happy mothers day goes to my "partner in crime" the one who takes on so much of the business stuff while bing a mum and keeping our house running..... our admin manager Lauren!

On Sunday we were invited to attend a thank you get together for all the sponsors of the 2023 Blessing of the Fleet.
It was a great afternoon of networking, chatting and relaxing with other local business owners/employees.
In 2025 we will again be a sponsor for this awesome community event. We are excited to see what a full year of planning will bring for the town and festival.

Today we celebrate the love between Tamara and Kane at Murramurang Resort.
They wanted to not have to worry about any of their music so booked our Platinum Wedding Package which has DJ TJ helping with their ceremony and cocktail time music as well as DJ/MC for reception.
Not only did they want great music but they also wanted to have their guests have some fun in our Photo booth so will have booth attendant Jacob helping tonight as well.
We wish them all the best for the future as MR and MRS.

This is the first year since covid lockdowns ended that we have actually had a wedding season, as opposed to weddings all year long. As weddings start to quiet for the winter months it allows us more time for our upcoming weddings.
This means more Saturdays become free for our meet and greets, we plan ahead and update our forms....so always more happening behind the scenes.

So if you are getting married in 2024 and have booked a Platinum or Gold wedding Package or have booked a Meet and Greet add on and haven't yet had your meeting please keep an eye on your emails as these work on a first in order - you can book your meet and greet up to one month in advance once you receive the email.
These meetings are compulsory but are a great way to chat to TJ about your music, timeline and hopes for your wedding day. They are untimed so you can be sure to relax, get side tracked, have plenty of laughs but also know you made the right choice.

With the Illawarra Wedding Industry Awards under way its got me thinking about last years Shoalhaven and South Coast (Shoalhaven River to the VIC border) Awards moments.
In 2023 we won Best Photo booth and Best MC in our local category and got Highly Commended in the DJ Category......

It was a great night celebrating with our local industry friends, celebrating each others achievements as we know we have all worked hard and the recognition from our couples really makes its worth it.
Winning these achievements meant we could then go on to compete in the whole of Australia.

Can't wait for our awards to come but for now we wish all the best to our fellow Illawarra and Southern Highlands Vendors (if you used vendors located in that area you can vote for them now) and can't wait to see how you go...best of luck!

We often get asked "do your DJs take requests on the night?"

Thats totally up to you! If you would like our DJ to take requests we are more than happy too.
We have a song bank of thousands of songs which is constantly being updated so chances are we can play any request that comes on the night. If not, and internet is ok we can legally download the requested song.
Even if you have said yes to accepting songs we may not play all requested songs as we may see the requested song as inappropriate - this could be for the mood/vibe of the event or inappropriate language or content.

How have you all survived through the night?
Hopefully where you are the worst has passed.

We took advantage of a rare weekend off and decided a family camping trip at Kiama would be great but obviously Mother Nature thought camping needed to become an extreme sport this weekend.
So we upgraded to a cabin and I don’t think we’ve ever been more thankful to not be camping!
The cabin shock a lot through the night as the gusts increased, the rain came down in every direction and entered the cabin via door and window seals….i lost count of how many times we woke with the rain and wind so can only imagine it would have been no sleep at all in a tent….theres a few laying flat on the ground this morning.
But as the wild weather stopped we’ve explored the area and checked out the blow hole.

We hope everyone is staying safe and dry in these crazy conditions.
Seeing the amount of rain predicted and that the local dams/lakes etc are flowing please if your on the roads and see it’s flooded, forget it! It’s not worth the risk to your self or loved ones…..it’s not just flash flooding/rivers it could be washed away roads or large potholes that you can’t see.
