Healing Core Wounds - Remembering your True Self
Do you feel stuck or unworthy? Often triggered? unable to Love your Self...?
Radical self-inquiry is a powerful process of introspection and exploration that goes beyond surface-level questioning. It involves diving deep into your inner landscape to uncover hidden truths, patterns, and beliefs. Here’s what it entails:
Deep Reflection: Instead of skimming the surface, radical self-inquiry encourages you to explore the depths of your thoughts, emotions, and experiences. It’s like shining a spotlight on the corners of your psyche.
Challenging Assumptions: You question assumptions you’ve held for years. These might be about yourself, others, or the world. By examining these assumptions, you gain clarity and can choose whether to keep or discard them.
Authentic Exploration: Radical self-inquiry invites authenticity. You’re not afraid to confront uncomfortable truths or face aspects of yourself that you’ve avoided. It’s a courageous journey inward.
Systemic Awareness: It’s not just about “why” you feel a certain way; it’s about understanding the larger systems at play. How do societal norms, family dynamics, and cultural influences shape your beliefs?
Non-Judgmental Curiosity: Approach yourself with curiosity, not judgment. Ask questions without preconceived notions. Be open to surprises and revelations.
Integration: Radical self-inquiry isn’t about dissecting yourself—it’s about integrating all aspects of your being. It’s the alchemical process of turning self-awareness into wisdom.
Our edge usually occurs in situations where we feel uncomfortable. An edge can often be found whenever we find ourselves struggling with a feeling, ruminating about a problem, strongly defending against or rejecting feedback or criticism, or quickly agreeing with feedback or criticism from others. We can often feel it in our body – tightness in the chest, rapid breathing, butterflies in the stomach, clenching fists, numbness, desires to walk away.
These edges are a result of Core Wounds... the root cause of suffering
Core wounds are the ancient, deep-seated emotional pains within us. They are like old friends—miserable, yet familiar. These wounds often stem from our earliest beliefs and experiences. Let’s explore them:
Original Sin: Imagine humanity’s journey—the Tree of Knowledge, the fall from innocence. Core wounds echo this ancient tale. They’re generational—passed down through guilt, rejection, and self-hatred.
Childhood Origins: Our core wounds often begin in childhood. As free-spirited children, we faced constraints—invalidation, punishment for being authentic. These wounds deepen as we grow.
Barriers of Protection: To shield ourselves, we build barriers—protection from hurt. But these walls limit our authenticity and freedom.
Finding our core wounds is potent Soul work. It reveals dense blockages, allowing us to shine our inner Light. Remember, you’re not alone; we all carry these wounds. Healing begins when we acknowledge them. 🌿🌟
