Enjoying the last of the Winter delights… the garden is budding …. the ground is warming and new life is all around.

With each day there is something new to see , recall and admire. The Canola crops are glistening in the sun, and the bright yellow stalks of happiness are standing to attention. Seas of the vibrance are all around us, and with it brings brilliant energy.

Enjoy the last week of Winter. ###

Over the past months I have been suffering with Achilles Tendinitis, and so many ridiculous associated “itises”!!!! I have found a couple of saviours. This week, one of the therapists gave me a little gem… something I knew somewhere, yet I have had brought to the fore and mulled over all week.

In quiet and considered word, he, the therapist, told me that by making the slightest adjustment to a repetitive action, you can make the biggest difference. Such a simple notion. simple things often overlooked, yet the change can mean the world.

Further to this has reminded me of Albert Einstein…… “The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results “. Slightly different I know , yet an extension of the concept of change and it’s impact .

That being said , it’s really interesting how refreshing it is to overlay this concept on your everyday - who knows what the brilliant results may look like. And imagine understanding this concept on a collective global level.

(This photo has no correlation to my troubled foot, I just thought it more appealing to look at than a photo of my strapped ankle! )

Pearl of Wisdom… and the one that I love by … a Janeism… “ You have to make change to get change… “ … and further to this, the change only needs to be minimal and the result can be out of this world. Enjoy the creative thinking. ###

Such a lovely welcome always by Geordie. He is our protector and guide… and as the kids say, “Dad always laughs …” He speaks with a smile in his voice and never has a bad word for anyone. Loyal, hard working and humble , that is our Geordie. He is the backbone of the operations here and beyond! ✨✨✨

As a Dad is one of the best, and our children are the beneficiaries. ❤️ This Father’s Day we celebrate Geordie.

The Apron by and donned by Geordie in this shot is a perfect gift for Father’s Day. Hard wearing, hard working and versatile…. ( much like Geordie himself) Garden or kitchen.., neat and tidy… they are hard to beat. Link in bio to shop. ###

A flashback to an Autumn garden…

THE POCKET HANDKERCHIEF GARDEN, waiting , just waiting to burst into all its glory!
The garden is surrounded by carefully chosen sentimental roses , in honour of my Dad, and dispersed within the beds are fragrant kitchen herbs. Love a working garden…

At the end of the Arbor stands proudly, Thomas Bath. A resurrected bust of the Co-founder of Ceres , Learmonth , positioned with great consideration to oversee us and all the happenings here .

Wonder what he would be saying as he watches on? Who can say…. concerns me at times!! ###

Flashback to a summertime s shot by the talented

It is hard to imagine at this time of year that the garden will come into leaf again.

Highlighted here at the end of the walk is Thomas Bath, one of so many custodians of this land and co founder “Ceres” (Homestead )Learmonth. The bust is mounted on original bluestone ( an old step) from the property, and is the focal feature of the Arbor.

Such gentle meanders under the whimsical gift from Mother Nature. ###

What a beautiful reflection of Weddings by .

“…..Discovering wedding venues that provide couples and their guests the opportunity to immerse themselves in a celebration, whilst surrounded by remarkable history and unrivalled romance , is undoubtedly one of our favourite things to do…..”

“…. Ceres Homestead is where romance meets history. Unique in its 160 year-old architecture, the magnificent homestead is nestled amongst exquisite outbuildings, manicured gardens , age old English and French treescape - a living snapshot of a bygone era…..”

I think one of the most cathartic rituals I practise each day, is making a pot of tea. In fact, like my Dad always did for my mum , Geordie makes the first pot each morning and brings me a tea wherever I am at 6 am!

From then, there is usually another pot that is bottomless for the rest of the day. Depending on how I am feeling influences the blend I enjoy. My love of French Earl Grey has inspired me to re create so many of our own , in the Ceres Homestead range. Now we have many to choose from , including a lovely herbal range. ( perfect for the middle of the night when you can’t sleep.)

Not sure if it’s the process of making the tea; the relationship you create with a ritual that starts a day; the aroma or the grounding soothing sips , whatever it is - it’s special.

Pearl of the day - feels like in times of joy or despair, tea is always there - poetic, yet pretty well sums it up for me!

May all your cups this week be cups of pure joy. ###
