A few weeks ago, I received an email from a bright young spark named Paris. She’d just completed her Diploma in Event Management and was keen to gain some real-world experience. The timing? Impeccable. We were just weeks out from our first on the South Coast - and if you’re going to jump in the deep end, this was the way to do it.
So, I invited Paris to join our team for the day - and what a day it was! Paris reminded me so much of myself at her age: driven, curious, and genuinely passionate about events. From the moment she arrived, she threw herself into the chaos (the beautiful kind) and didn’t skip a beat.
This little pocket rocket worked tirelessly all day, and even when I insisted she take a break, she was back within 15 minutes, ready to dive in again. (A girl after my own heart — I’ve definitely been known to eat lunch at my desk just to keep the momentum going.)
