Happy Wattle Day, first day of spring and it just so happens to be my birthday.
Wattles hold a special place here on the farm as part of our revegetation projects and the farm being in the Wattle Creek catchment, hence our name!

When I was sowing this years hay crop in autumn I threw a packet of Billy Buttons in the mix because they were in my pocket and I didn’t think too much about it. After a crop check today I noticed Billy Button seedlings randomly scattered amongst the pasture. So now we are collecting some and replanting them into the flower farm.
It’s been the easiest seed raising method to date 😊. I hope they transplant successfully.
