Lupins are back! It really feels like Spring when these perennials start blooming. Beautiful in the garden, the bees love them, good vase life and sublime perfume. It’s time to plant these babies now. Seedlings available if you’re keen 💗

FARM UPDATE - It’s May and unbelievably we have only just had our first (and second) hard frosts! We did however just manage to get a big harvest done in time for our Mother's Day Workshop on Saturday 6th.

Crispy cool dewy mornings, and cold fingers, mean later outside starts this month - it seems there is always another job to do by the fire at the kitchen table instead. Great jobs for May are…

🍂 making that winter jobs list

And when venturing outside we are…

FARM UPDATE - April and it’s ‘flat chat’ getting as much done as possible before the first hard frost. We’ve had a couple of light frosts but nothing too damaging and harvesting is still rolling along nicely.

Ranunculus corms have arrived and this is the only sowing for this month - we pre-soak in seaweed solution for 4 hours and sow into large 10-cell trays.

FARM UPDATE - March and I’m not entirely convinced that we actually had a summer but here we are at the beginning of autumn. Dare I say my favourite season (sorry spring, you are a very close second). There is a definite nip in the air with nighttime temps around 10C. Also missing the morning daylight for early harvesting.

Another big month on the farm - as harvesting slows, planting, prepping beds and sowing now ramps up with the final push before the first frost in April.
