It’s beginning to feel a lot like Christmas!

They’ve got a great new magic scene organised this year for your cool Chrissy photos down at the Lido area at the next Urunga Riverside Markets 10th Dec. Urunga’s own “By Community For Community” volunteer group is getting Urunga into the Christmas spirit in association with Urunga Lions.

This group is the one that also brings you Santa in the Firetruck 2023, and will again in 2024 host ‘Easter Bunny on the Trike’.

We acknowledge that these celebrations would not be possible without the generous sponsorship from all of these amazing community minded businesses in Urunga.

Wasn’t that a warm day with a gentle breeze in the morning then taking us all to the emerald city around lunch time - you have to admit mum nature has been very kind to us.
Many thanks to the talented stallholders for providing a range of creative treats, the scrumptious foods (did you manage to get a foxy natural ice cream?) , the amazing sounds of Snez with guest appearances from Stewart.
Next month we have a special guest appearance from the one and only Santa Claus (yep it’s nearly Christmas ) as well as the usual treats. Until December keep smiling, be kind to each other and spread the word about URM the little market with a huge heart ❤️ Urunga

And that’s a wrap for the Urunga rail centenary 2023 see you all back here in 2123 lol There are so many people to thank for this amazing weekend including the wonderful talented stallholders, Georgia for amazing music, Bendy Em for contorting into a box, all the parade participants (weren’t they great). First off is the ever lovely and talented seamstress Kathy. 1/ What's your name and Business name? i'm Kathy O'Reilly..... I have The Marching Ants - Brand New Kids Stuff and For The Love of Silicone Jewellery. 2/ How long have you been making your products for? I've been selling my products for 2 years but I've been sewing for over 35 years. I've been making and selling my silicone products for 2 years also. 3/ What inspired you to start your business? What inspired me? I needed to keep myself busy after the Woolworths Call Centre I was working for from home, moved to NZ and I was no longer with a job. 4/ What is the best thing you love about doing markets? I love doing markets because you can sell your quality products to customers and know that you're providing something to them that they need. Whether its a gift or something for their own family. Urunga is my favourite market because it's so well organised and the people are always friendly. 5/ What is your biggest wish for your business? My biggest wish it to go to a market and sell every single thing in one day... well maybe that's a dream actually hahaha then I don't have to pack the trailer back up again.
