I honestly don’t think I’ve ever laughed so much during a ceremony. This one was a total blast.
From meeting over a snag sanga in high school to their shared love of cooked chook rolls and pub feeds, Mads + Gus make a perfect pair.
And since they said ‘I do’, they’ve actually welcomed a beautiful little bundle. Sweet baby George.
What a dream. ❤️👶

So, it turns out that having a baby is all-consuming. Who knew?! And to add a stack of weddings a few hundred kilometres away into the mix was definitely ambitious. Some would probably say madness. 👶
Don't get me wrong, I have loved every single ceremony I've had the pleasure of being a part of this last year but carting my little family back to Wagga every other weekend was A LOT. 😅
And now, with only weeks until I head back to the office and 📺 across the nation's capital, I've made a tough decision.
I've decided to take a big step back from weddings in the Riverina and instead prioritise lovebirds getting married closer to home. 🏡

It was only a few months ago that my hunky man - - dropped down on one knee to propose. 👏
I felt such a flurry of emotions. Happiness. Surprise. Gratitude. Love. Disbelief. It was honestly overwhelming, in the best way. 🥰
I have always asked my couples to tell me about their proposal and regardless of whether it was a huge grand gesture or something simple and romantic, I would totally melt - even before I was engaged. ❤️
But now that I am, I feel like I can truly appreciate the magic of that moment. ✨
So, how did your other half pop the question? 💁🏻♀️

They both looked like a million bucks, is heaven on earth and Mother Nature gifted us a perfect, blue sky day. ☀️

Billy Thomas Harrison made his grand entrance at 5.06pm on April 28, weighing 3.33kg and measuring 51cm. 💙
It’s honestly a whole new kind of love and magic. ✨
I’ll be spending the next couple of months soaking this little bundle up before getting back to marrying love bugs in spring. Can't wait! 🌸

Gosh, I adored this wedding.
There were tears, plenty of laughs, a couple of naughty swear words and so much love.
These two are high school sweethearts. Their first date was literally in a free period over thick shakes. Does it get any sweeter? I don't think so.
And now, they're husband + wife - and I got to be there as the magic happened. What a dream. ✨

This day was absolute magic.
Kate is sunshine in human form and Nick looks at her like he can’t believe his luck. And honestly, they both felt like pals from the moment we first sat down for smoothies.
Kate and Nick had a small, intimate ceremony in one of Wagga‘s best-kept secret gardens. There was laughter, there were tears and a good splash of inappropriate remarks from Nick.
Then everyone scooted off to a baby shower to celebrate the impending arrival of Kate + Nick’s beautiful boy.
He’s here and gorgeous. His name is Archer.
Now, they’re a perfect party of 3. ❤️

// LITTLE THINGS ☀️ //
With both the ACT and all of New South Wales now in lockdown, most of the weddings I was gearing up for have been postponed.
I honestly can’t believe so many of us are back here, with only a short list of valid reasons to leave the house and the threat of COVID-19 feeling more real than ever.
But I’m really trying to focus on the things I’m lucky to have:
- another job that I love and can still do 📺
- a new house to move into with 🏡
- nice walks to do in my one hour of outdoor time each day 🌻
- plenty of cute faces to FaceTime to pass the time 😍

As COVID-19 cases climb in Sydney, peak wedding season looms closer and closer.

Oh, how we laughed!
We also talked about Jane’s butt. And the size of Andy’s head. But most importantly, we talked about how at the core of the very best relationships is always friendship.
I think Andy’s daughter, Charlie, said it best:
“It is often said that it is love that makes the world go round. However, without a doubt, it is friendship that keeps our spinning existence on an even keel.”
Andy + Jane epitomise that. They’re a perfect match and this was a perfect day. ✨

With every person I marry, I always ask about the moment they knew they'd found the love of their life. Their better half. Their husband or wife. And the answers are always SO different. 💫
For some, it's honestly love at first sight. For others, it's in a seemingly mundane moment - something just clicks. And then, of course, there's those grand, romantic gestures that sweep people off their feet. 🌹
I feel so lucky every time I hear one of those stories - love is the bloody BEST! 😍

While I was happy to see the back of 2020, I felt completely the opposite about the end of Schitt’s Creek. What a show! 🌈
I laughed. I cried. I wanted David to be my best friend and Moira to be my crazy great aunt. 🎢
There are only two other shows that I’ve really mourned the end of - New Girl + Parks and Recreation - but was a triumph in a totally different way. ✨
I’ll miss the whole fam. 💔

What. A. Year! 2020 has really done a number on all of us and I definitely won’t be sad when the clock strikes midnight tonight. 🥂💃🏻
Despite the seemingly endless lows, there were a few highs - a gorgeous road trip with my handsome man, a handful of beautiful babies arrived into my family + girl gang and I officially became a marriage celebrant. ❤️
I also think 2020 made people appreciate the little things and realise what makes them truly happy, and that has to be the silver lining. ✨
Nevertheless, I still declare 2020 the year of the mushroom. 🤢

But, like with so many things this year, coronavirus got in the way. 😭
They’re still celebrating - with a romantic picnic in Darwin. And I’ll have a glass of bubbles in their honour. 🥂
